FROM THE DIRECTOR
Allegan County is beautiful from the beaches to our forests. To celebrate Arbor Day, we participated in Earth Day in downtown Allegan by donating 50 beautiful pines for planting to everyone that participated in the Earth Day Clean Up organized by The Sassy Olive and the downtown business group. We also donated 25 pin oak seedlings to the Allegan Department of Public Works and another 25 to Allegan High School students in Mr. Rogers class.

We are proud to support many nonprofits that celebrate the beauty of Allegan County and being outdoors including Outdoor Discovery Center, Beautify Pullman, Wayland Main Street, and Girls on the Run. We appreciate all our donors who made this possible.

Let us not forget May is also Military Appreciation Month, culminating with Memorial Day observed this year on Monday, May 30th. Officially designated by Congress in 1999, Military Appreciation Month takes place every year throughout the entire month of May. Please celebrate and honor those that have sacrificed so much for our freedom. There are so many reasons to be proud to be an American.

Enjoy the weekend outside. Spring is here - my tulips finally opened.

Perrigo employees recently teamed up with the Allegan County Food Pantry Collaborative to donate Perrigo manufactured products to our 15 member Food Pantries. Initiated by the Perrigo Company Charitable Foundation, employees were allowed to donate their "product credit" towards items for the Collaborative. In December of 2021, employees donated their credits to exchange for important items needed in the Pantries. Items included things like baby formula, over-the-counter cold and flu medications for infants, children and adults, pediatric electrolyte popsicles, and more. Our pantries are very grateful for the donations which totaled a retail value of over $183,780.00. Thank you, Perrigo, and your wonderful employees!

Coming Soon!

We are transitioning from the previous quarterly version of the nonprofit spotlight and integrating it into our monthly newsletter! The spotlight will now be a featured section in our newsletter and website. This will allow local non-profits that serve Allegan County to share exciting news and updates, both in word and picture format every month as desired.
