Partners in Gospel is a strategic pastoral planning effort taking place across the Archdiocese of Seattle to re-invigorate and renew our local Catholic Church. Please find the March Partners UPDATE and read about the 6 pillar work groups and how they will help guide parish families in the process of re-envisioning and becoming one canonical parish.

Join Us for our Synod Town Halls on
"Strengthening Our Community"
As the synodal process moves forward globally (view the recent continental working document "Enlarge the space of your tent" HERE)... What can we do here at OLL with what we have learned from the Synod process?

Our Parish has surfaced six areas that warrants further dialogue: Strengthen Our Community; The Role of Women in the Church; Religious Education and Continuing Faith Formation; Social Justice and Service; Liturgy and Prayer Life; and Youth Engagement. A Synodal Town Hall format will allow us to do that. What we want to do is to brainstorm together!

Each series will focus on one of the six areas identified last Spring. The series this Spring will focus on Strengthening Our Community. You all know that the situation facing parish life is going to change based on the recent announcement of Partners in the Gospel. We would like to go into this period of change really knowing who the Our Lady of the Lake Community is as a parish and how we would like strengthen and grow. Please join us...
Welcome Colleen
We are happy to welcome Colleen Baardse as our new Front Office Administrative Assistant. Colleen is very familiar with OLL! "I first started attending the Our Lady of the Lake school when I entered the 5th grade in 2003. My family started attending mass at Our Lady of the Lake around the same time with the encouragement of my grandmother, Ann Leachman. Over the years, I have tried to remain active in various aspects, including altar serving, church choir, and volunteering in the office and at the school shortly before and during the initial months of COVID. When I was offered this job, I was thrilled to help my community, and I look forward to getting to know everyone much better!"

Most recently Colleen has been employed as Dental Administrator assisting in answering phone calls, scheduling appointments and  maintaining records to name a few. All these skills will transfer well in her new role her at OLL.

We know everyone here at OLL will give her a warm welcome. She starts this Tuesday so makes sure you take a little time to come say hi!

Pilgrimage to Ireland! Register by April 15th
Join Father Tim Clark on an inspiring journey to Ireland. This is a customized itinerary exploring religious, cultural, and historical treasures of Ireland. We will fly into and out of Dublin, a dynamic modern city with deep historical roots. We will explore the impressive library at Trinity College with illustrated Gospels from Celtic Christian times. We travel then to the western part of Ireland, stopping enroute at one of the more important monastic centers of early Christianity – in Clonmacnoise. We travel to Croagh Patrick, a spiritually significant mountain dating back to Neolithic times but, in the Christian era, from at least the 5th century, associated with Christianity and St. Patrick. It is a major pilgrimage destination. We will base in Galway as we explore the Connemara region. Later we transfer to another base, Killarney, as we travel through the Burren region and the Cliffs of Moher. We will visit the scenic Ring of Kerry and learn more about Skellig Michael – an ancient Christian island. We make our way back to Dublin via Cashel and the beautiful medieval town of Kilkenny. We will visit Glendalough, another historic monastic complex enroute to Dublin.

Throughout, we will visit local Irish centers of culture, history, art, and spirituality. Our local guide will open doors to special exhibits and museums. Throughout, Fr. Clark will celebrate liturgy in historic venues. This is a wonderful program that brings to life the spirituality, folklore, and traditions of the Irish people. Don’t miss it!

A Few Spots Left...
JustFaith Ministries was birthed in the effort to invite and prepare people of faith for the life-changing and world-changing call of the Gospel to help heal the world and, in so doing, experience a deeper faith, a more fulfilling life, and a community of care and vitality.

The program will begin with an all-day Saturday retreat, to establish a foundation for exploring this topic together by building community and offering self-reflection. It will be followed by eight Wednesday evening, 2-hr. gatherings, and one “Immersion Experience” near the end of the program. There are three books which must be purchased by the participants, and videos as a part of the program. Other than that, this program is offered at no cost, except perhaps for refreshments.

Register here. For questions, contact Ann Radermacher
