US Family Health Plan, in coordination with Tufts Health Plan, our third-party administrator, would like to make you aware that on June 14, 2021, Philips Respironics issued a recall on Continuous and Non-Continuous Ventilators (certain CPAP, BiLevel PAP devices, and ventilator devices) due to two issues related to the polyester-based polyurethane sound abatement foam used in these devices. 

This recall is for all CPAP and BIPAP devices manufactured by Philips before April 26, 2021. Providers should encourage patients to register their device at www.philipssrcupdate.expertinquiry.com, or call 1.877.907.7508 to see if their particular device is part of the recall.

Remote physiological monitoring (RPM) services allow providers to monitor vital statistics for patients with medical conditions without the patient having to come into the office. Through RPM, providers can monitor a patient’s weight, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, respiratory flow rate, and more. RPM services are a limited benefit and covered as ancillary services. Beneficiary copays and cost-shares apply as appropriate.
