ISSUE NO. 11 | August 23, 2021
Dear 555 Community,

Labor Day is fast approaching and soon summer holidays will be a distant memory. While it’s bittersweet, we are indeed excited for the return of robust activity and community at 555 Madison Avenue that typically comes each September.

This year we are even more excited because we can gather as a community once again. To welcome you back, we’ll be hosting a few events and activities this fall to give you opportunities to meet new neighbors and connect with old friends. The first event will be an ice cream social. We cannot think of a cooler way to end summer! Details are below.

Since we are on the subject of events, this issue of 555 Madison Connects includes other events and happenings around the city. We have some information on the return of Broadway for those who cannot wait to get back in the theater and outdoor activities for those still wanting to socialize in open air settings.

Thanks for reading!

The 555 Madison Avenue Ice Cream Social
Join us on Wednesday, August 25th in the back lobby between 12:30pm and 2:00pm. We are celebrating the end of summer break and a return to seeing friends and colleagues in the workplace. We are serving up Chloe’s frozen pops. Chloe’s delicious treats contain no artificial ingredients, colors, or flavorings, and are vegan.

Come for the salted caramel oat milk pops or the fruit flavored ice pops. Stay to catch up with your neighbors and building staff.

Watch this space as we announce more events for our community shortly.
The Return of Broadway
The curtains are coming up again! The return of Broadway is something that all New Yorkers should celebrate for both its cultural and economic contributions to our city. Returning to the stage are iconic, long running shows, as well as new arrivals and new takes. One of the most anticipated dramas of this season is The Lehman Trilogy at the Nederlander Theater. You can read more about it in the review in The New York Times here from its run at the Park Avenue Armory. Previews begin in September.

Providing a new experience, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will return in November but re-imagined as one singular performance instead of two.

Here are two guides to the shows returning to Broadway. Click here for The New York Times guide and click here for the Broadway.com guide.
Embracing The Outdoors
There are still plenty of outdoor events and activities happening all over the city. Central Park, for example, provides opportunities ranging from a casual meet up with friends in Sheep Meadow to a playdate for your kids at the Central Park Zoo.

Outdoor fitness events and activities continue to be popular. Central Park offers both sunrise yoga inspired walking tours and Vinyasa yoga classes that combine breathing and flowing movements. Vinyasa classes are 75 minutes and they have 6pm sessions on weekdays along with weekend classes. Learn more here

Dear Aleisa,

I notice you are currently working on the freight elevator. How would you like us to handle deliveries while the upgrades are underway?

Sincerely,
Deliveries Pending

Dear Deliveries Pending,

The B4 car will act as the temporary service elevator for the high rise. Deliveries will enter the building through the service entrance on 56th Street and proceed through the back entrance of our main lobby to the B4 car. During peak hours, B4 will function as a passenger elevator to alleviate traffic.

The A3 car will act as the temporary service elevator for the low rise. Deliveries will enter the building through the service entrance on 56th Street and then take the one stop service elevator to the cellar level and proceed to the A3 elevator. If you need freight service, you will need to call the management office to request that the elevator comes to your floor.

Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

Sincerely,
Aleisa
