Committee Spotlight
Have you heard about AVNC's Community Greening Committee? The Community Greening Committee promotes environmental awareness, activities, and pride within Atwater Village. Past projects include beautifying the median on Glendale Blvd by the train tracks, and running the Adopt-A-Block program. You can get involved! Karen Barnett gets a Shout Out from Mayor Garcetti
AVNC Board Member and River Committee Chair Karen Barnett got a shout out from both Councilman, Mitch O’Farrell and LA Mayor Eric Garcetti on September 29, 2021 at a press conference announcing new river connectivity bridges in Glendale.  The Atwater Village Community is lucky to have her as the River Committee Chair. Way to go Karen and thank you for all the great work of the River Committee!

Board Vacancy
There's a vacancy on the board for the North Atwater position. Any stakeholders 16 years or older who live, work, or own real property in the North Atwater area (north of Los Feliz Blvd) can apply to fill the position.

AVNC in Action
The AVNC approved a letter to Mayor Garcetti and the City Council, supporting the advancement of the target date for LADWP to generate 100% of its electricity from renewable sources. READ LETTER HERE

(As of 10/1 at 12pm, the LACCRC is no longer accepting maps for input into the current adopted draft map. However, the Commission is continuing to accept written testimony and invites the public to join their upcoming hearings).
