The Dedication Ceremony for our 104th home is TONIGHT!
It seems like just yesterday we surprised Noe, Violeta, and Brigitte with the news that they were going to be Habitat Homeowners. Now, after more than 400 "sweat equity" hours, the Dedication of their home is here!

Join us TONIGHT at 6:00 PM at 1108 E. Hickory St. in Denton for the dedication of their home, followed by a celebratory cookout. All are welcome to attend and help us celebrate this occasion!

Don't forget - Gnome Cones will be there to hand out free popsicles from 5:15 PM - 6:00 PM. Make sure to arrive early to get your "Gnomesicles" before the ceremony begins at 6:00 PM!
Service Spotlight: Force Home Services
This month, Force Home Services committed to donating the air conditioning unit for our 105th home! This generous in-kind donation will help Dina Sosa and her daughters build strength and independence in their own home this fall and beyond. This is the second time this year that Force Home Services has donated an air conditioning unit to our homes. Their generosity and service has made such a significant impact on our ministry. Thank you, Force Home Services!
Last night on July 29, we met with several congregations of different faiths across Denton County for an Interfaith Build Informational Meeting at Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church. We are inspired by the excitement shown by each participant last night to come together to build this home to give a hand up to a local deserving family.

A Habitat for Humanity Interfaith Build brings people together of different backgrounds and faiths to put aside differences, build homes, and celebrate inclusion and diversity within our community. Our next Interfaith Build will begin in October 2021 in Denton.

Our hope through the Interfaith Build is to build a team with the willingness to explore, understand, and accept - not bypass - differences, and a desire to accept and validate one another's perspectives. We build better when we come together to put our faiths into action.

If your congregation is interested in participating in the 2021 Interfaith Build, please contact Lora Blakeslee Atkinson or call us at (940) 484-5006.
