Don't let your patron's Webtix receipts bounce!
You may have been receiving notices from us about bounced emails recently.

When a customer makes a purchase through Webtix, the program emails them a receipt.

Some of them bounce.

We are starting to send you the notices we receive about bounced emails.

It's an excellent opportunity for you to check in with your patrons and update your contact information for them.

  • You want them to get their receipts, right?
  • You want to be able to email them about upcoming events and donation requests, don't you?

Keeping your customer emails and phone numbers current is an ongoing job. We will send you any bounced email notifications we find, but that never takes the place of regular customer list management.

In Wintix, go to Mailing list | Customer lookup and search by email address to find the contacts.
Have you been keeping up with the latest Wintix updates?
Our programming team has been busy doing lots of updating to Wintix and Webtix. It's especially important for you to pay attention to any Wintix updates and make sure your Wintix has the most recent build date.

If you aren't sure you know what the latest update is, you can find a list of them on the Help Desk.

If we send you notice of a WEBTIX update, you don't have to do a thing. Webtix lives on the cloud, so it automatically updates.

Run of Show
v.
Categories and Prices
If all the performances for a show have the SAME prices:
USE RUN OF SHOW

If a performance has DIFFERENT prices than the rest:
USE CATEGORIES & PRICES

Let's think of the pricing for multiple performances like rubber ducks. If all the performances have the same prices -they are all yellow ducks and you would use run of show prices.

But if a performance has different prices and categories, it's like a green duck that isn't the same as all the other yellow ducks. That is when you use prices and categories.

PLEASE NOTE: You can't change the way you have prices set up while tickets are on sale. You need to wait until you have a new show and then use run of show pricing.

Run of show pricing didn't exist in Wintix 5, so those of you recently upgraded to Wintix 6 may not be used to using Run of Show.

If you have prices and price categories in BOTH Run of Show and Categories and Prices, this may cause things like multiple (old and new) prices for seats, so be aware.
