Kettle Moraine School District Superintendent Dr. Patricia F. Deklotz provides her weekly update. Her topics include:

1. Thank you to our veterans
2. Working hard to keep elementary schools and KMMS open
3. Please continue to report illnesses and take precautions
Sixth-grade students at KMMS recently wrapped production on their 3-D projects. They had to come up with an idea, design blueprints, then build it. The results? Awesome. Toothbrush holder to cat tower, awards case to laptop desk, the students proved: if you have an idea, you can make it reality.

Cushing Decathlon Nears $18k Goal
Sack races to egg relays, indoors and outdoors, the annual Cushing Elementary Decathlon event looked a little different this year, but participation and results have been incredible.

Usually a one-day event at St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, the decathlon stations were broken up into several weeks of gym classes, which ended Nov. 5. The race to the fundraising finish line is still on, with the Cushing community just under $400 away from their $18k goal!
Contact Tracing Notifications Shift Away From Waukesha County Public Health
The Waukesha County Public Health issued a letter explaingin its shift away from notifying contacts of positive cases: "Due to rising COVID-19 cases statewide, a recent and significant change to this process means that if you or your child are a close contact of someone who tests positive for COVID-19, you will likely be notified of your exposure from that individual, school personnel, or your place of employment, rather than from Waukesha County Public Health. Waukesha County Public Health will focus all efforts on following up with confirmed cases rather than notifications of close contacts."
