The Sand Paper A Newsletter from The Sandy Hook Foundation
Dear Friends of Sandy Hook,

Happy Holidays! During your time with loved ones and friends this month, we invite you to enjoy the organized programs in the park or come out for your own journey to your favorite spots. Sandy Hook truly is your park for all seasons.

We are delighted that the Lighthouse Keepers Quarters will reopen to the public on weekends, beginning December 4th. Visitors will be able to explore the exhibits and displays and shop at the Park Store.

In the meantime, we hope you will consider your tax-deductible donation to The Sandy Hook Foundation during our year-end appeal. Every bit counts and no amount is too small to help make a difference in our park.

Happy Holidays from your friends at The Sandy Hook Foundation, the Official Friends Group of the National Park Service, right here on Sandy Hook.

Lighthouse Keepers Quarters to Reopen to the Public on Saturday, December 4
A large-scale renovation of the Sandy Hook Lighthouse Keepers Quarters, funded by The Sandy Hook Foundation, was completed in 2006. Inside, visitors can view exhibits on the history of Fort Hancock and learn about the maritime importance of the Sandy Hook Lighthouse, the oldest continuously operating lighthouse in the United States. The Lighthouse Keepers Quarters also operates as the Sandy Hook Visitor Center and is home to the Park Store.
