WHERE YOUR HEART WANTS TO BE
General Manager's Scorecard
Greetings from Bright’s Creek

Aerification was successfully completed last week. There is still a little clean-up to do around the edges of the greens to remove excess sand that accumulates while spreading the sand. Greens will not be mowed until the end of this week; they will be rolled multiple times after the sand has fully dried. Rolling the greens while the sand is wet pulls the sand up and has a negative impact on aerification effectiveness.

Member’s Grille Update…
Work continues in the grille. The first phase of painting should be completed this week and additional flooring has been put down. The granite bar tops will be installed next week, and we are expecting the first furniture delivery within the next week.
We highly encourage making an advance reservation for dinner. We space out our reservations to effectively handle the flow of members and guests. This also assists us in being able to provide a high level of service.

Unfortunately, our COVID protocols, implemented in early August, remain in place. With Polk County and surrounding counties remaining at a “high level”, we continue to be impacted. The school year has re-started and that has added an additional challenge. We are fortunate that there are no reported cases of COVID due to close contact or positive tests originating at the club. However, we have several associates that have not been able to come to work due to school-related cases and its impact outside of the club. Associates testing positive or in close contact with a positive test are out of work 10-14 days, sometimes longer. We understand the frustration that this situation causes. Our goal remains to protect the health and safety of our community and protect the business interests of the club. Extended or widespread associate absences will hinder our ability to deliver on the club experience we strive for, and you expect. Our hope is that these protocols are short-lived and temporary.

  • All associates will have their temperature checked when reporting to work. Associates with temperatures higher than 100.4 will be asked to go home and check with their health care provider for return-to-work protocols.
  • All associates will wear a mask while working indoors, including lodge and villas.
  • We will limit the size of tables in the Members grille to 6 people or less.
  • All vendors and contractors will be required to wear a mask while delivering or working indoors.
  • Strongly request that all Members and guests wear masks while in the clubhouse.
  • Unvaccinated Members and guests are required to wear a mask while in the clubhouse.
  • Practice safe social distancing of at least six feet and wash hands repeatedly while visiting the club.
  • Members or guests who are experiencing symptoms or have been in close contact with positive COVID cases are asked to refrain from coming to the club for a minimum of seven days and when all symptoms have cleared for at least 72 hours.
  • The club will routinely sanitize all common areas and guest rooms and the golf staff will sanitize all carts.
Regards and thank you,
