Dear River Forest residents,
During Monday night’s Village Board meeting, the Village Board of Trustees unanimously voted to declare March as Women’s History Month in the Village. This month recognizes the important contributions women have made in our community and throughout history. You can read the proclamation on page 115 here.
The Illinois 5Essentials Survey closes Friday, March 31 for parents and guardians of Oak Park River Forest High School students. Attending students are also asked to take the brief, anonymous survey before the end of March to help the high school reach their survey quota and receive their school report. Please consider taking the time to complete this survey. More information can be found in an article below.
Lastly, in addition to March being Women's History Month, it is also Social Work Month. I wanted to take a moment to thank the professionals and volunteers who dedicate their lives to giving others the tools they need to overcome challenges and trauma in their personal lives.
Sincerely,
|
