HEAR FROM OUR STAFF FOR AOK UPDATES

Dear Jessica,

As you may know, staff at All Our Kin took a week in August to truly reflect on our work and refresh our programming to be responsive to you and your unique needs. We want to express our sincere gratitude for your patience as we intentionally reflected and planned with fresh minds.

For the fall, we’re excited to begin offering in-person programming after a challenging year of distance. While we will continue to offer many of our programs virtually, others like Toolkit Licensing Pre-inspections and Educational Coaching can be performed in-person. We encourage you to choose the option that makes you feel most comfortable during this time. Our goal is to ensure family child care thrives for the long term, in light of many of the obstacles we’ve faced over the past year.

Throughout the month, we’ll have site based orientations to answer any questions you might have about this year’s programming. Additionally, if you have any immediate questions, please feel free to call your site office.

As always, sending our continued love, thoughts and friendship

In Solidarity,

The AOK Team

Tell Congress: Family Child Care Needs Long-Term Funding!

Policy

Congress is currently debating the overall size of the President’s proposed infrastructure plan and how much child care will receive over the next 7-10 years. If fully funded at $450 billion, the investment in child care could increase family child care educators’ compensation by up to 40% and dramatically expand opportunities for professional development.

Please take a moment to send Connecticut Senators Murphy and Blumenthal, and your Representative letters about the need for full funding.
