Resident Educator Year 2 Monthly Update

We hope that spring brings a sense of hope and rejuvenation for all of you. What a wild year it has been! It definitely feels good to see light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. If you can teach during a global pandemic, you can do anything. :)

Once details are finalized, we will let you know the date for our first RE consortium meeting for the fall. Stay tuned for details.

FINAL REPORTING REQUIREMENT
To verify that you have completed the requirements for Year 1 of the Resident Educator Program, you must meet with your mentor and review the completion form. Both the resident educator and the mentor must sign that all requirements have been completed. Then you need to turn the form in to the Program Coordinator in your district. Check with the PC about the due date as it may vary from district to district.

Resident Educator Monthly Update
This monthly Resident Educator e-news is designed to provide you with helpful information and resources. Residency is a time to practice, refine and gain a deeper understanding of the art and science of teaching under the guidance of a certified mentor and the support of a professional learning community. You will be receiving monthly updates that highlight where you should be in the program and also offer helpful resources.
MEETING CANCELLATIONS DUE TO WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES
RE sessions will be held as scheduled unless there are extreme conditions that interfere. This would be a rare occurrence. If a session is cancelled or changed, participants will be notified by email from the ESC of Lake Erie West by 2 p.m. so be sure to check your email prior to leaving school.
