Puente at Chabot Celebrates 40 Years
As the Puente Project at Chabot continues to celebrate its 40th anniversary, Alameda County District 2 Supervisor, Richard Valle, donated an additional $10,000 for Puente Project scholarships. A special thank you to Brenda Gomez, Alameda County District 2 Supervisor's Aide, and Mark Salinas, Friends of Chabot College Board Chair, for making a special visit to Professor Genera's Puente class, serving as guest speakers and sharing inspiration.
In the past 10 years, Chabot Puente has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to outstanding students who are either transferring to a university or continuing their education at Chabot. Our goal this year is to raise $40,000 in honor of Puente’s 40th anniversary. Donate today to support the Puente Project.

AAPI Night Market Success!
Thank you to everyone who attended the college's first Asian American and Pacific Islander themed Night Market on May 6th. Co-hosted by Chabot College's Inter Club Council (ICC) and Asian Pacific Islander Education Association (APIEA), over 150 Chabot students, employees, and community members joined this celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The proceeds from the student-led booths will go directly to support student clubs.
Thank you to the APIEA Movement team for sharing event photos!
Movement is the newest learning community at Chabot supporting students interested in Asian American and Pacific Islander culture and experiences. Students receive individualized counseling and transfer support, leadership opportunities, and curriculum centered around Asian American and Pacific Islander history, literature, and culture.
