We hope that everyone had a very warm and happy Thanksgiving. The holiday season has now officially begun and while the holidays can be filled with joy and happiness, for many it is a challenging and difficult time even in the best of circumstances. As numbers of cases of COVID-19 continue to increase, so does the associated anxiety, feelings of fear and uncertainty, and other mental health concerns around the developing situation.
We want to remind everyone that the mental health effects of COVID-19 are just as important to address as are the physical health effects. The County of Santa Clara Behavioral Health Services Department (BHSD) and our Community Based Organizations continue to provide services and support. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are in need.
Important numbers to keep handy this season:
· Mental Health Services 1(800)704-0900
· Substance Use Services 1(800)488-9919
· Suicide and Crisis Hotline 24/7 1(855)278-4204 Or Text RENEW to 741741

If everyone does their part to stop the spread, we will prevent maxing out California's hospital systems, ensure health care workers can come to work safely, and protect the most vulnerable.

If you must gather or travel, make sure to:
✔️ Wear a mask and stay distanced (including around family members you don’t live with)

The Santa Clara County Library District is offering Lobby Service. Patrons are welcome to enter to pick up holds and browse limited book and movie collections. For more information view the flyer.
PLEASE NOTE: Libraries fit into the state's retail category for COVID. The move from orange to purple tier does not impact the services they are offering. It does impact how many people that can be let into the space at once. They can only allow 6 people into the lobby at a time so patrons may have to wait a bit longer to get into the building.
