Purses Needed
It’s almost time for fall cleaning and that means heading into your closet and tossing those items you know you never use anymore!! While you are in there, take an extra look at all those purses you have lining your shelves and consider donating a few of them to the Circle’s 2nd Purse Auction. We are in desperate need of GENTLY used purses for our sale, the more valuable the better!! We will also gladly accept donations of new handbags!! If you have a donation, please contact me at Daniellehouretlam@gmail.com and I will arrange a pick up of the purse for you.

Also, mark your calendar so you can attend this fun afternoon of lunch, socializing and shopping. The Purse Auction is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, 11 AM at Roswell Country Club.
Scholarship Update
Scholarship Committee members Diane Miller and Belinda Vogel attended the CCYA banquet on July 27. They awarded a scholarship to Alan Jones who is attending culinary school at the University of Kennesaw.

Current scholar Grace Brewer offered these works of gratitude in her scholarship reapplication form; “I am so grateful for this amazing scholarship and have become even more grateful during this time. I have been able to excel in school while not having to worry about how to pay for books or classes. This semester I started working in a research lab where I am now getting more hands-on experience with what I hope to do one day in my career! Thank you all again for your continued support and encouragement!”
Is There A Charity Close to Your Heart…………………?
………….. Besides the Circle for Children, of course! Our five-year commitment to Devereux Behavioral Health has flown by and will come to its conclusion at the end of this Circle year. Now is the time for us to start researching other worthy organizations for us to support in the future.

As Chair of Long-Range Planning, I am asking for our members to please send me names of groups to vet and consider as our new beneficiary. There are so many worthwhile and very needy charities out there who deserve our assistance. The only parameters are that they must serve at-risk children in the state of Georgia.

If you have any suggestions, please send them to me at Daniellehouretlam@gmail.com along with any supplemental information you may have.

If you are interested in working on this committee, please email me. I need four members from our membership at large. This committee will evaluate and visit prospective beneficiaries and present our recommendation to our members at the end of the year. It’s a great committee to serve on and become involved with.
Access the Directory online with new Password! The new 2020-2021 directory of active Circle members can now be viewed on our website. For the privacy of all members, the directory is password protected. You can access the directory under the membership tab on the website.
