FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Unofficial results available following election on Supervisor of Elections' website

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 16, 2021) — Unofficial results for the 2021 City of Gainesville Regular Election will be available on the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections' website following the closing of polling places.

Results will begin appearing around 7:15 p.m. on VoteAlachua.com.
The unofficial results will include votes cast by mail, at early voting sites and on Election Day. Unofficial results will not be available from all precincts at once because polling places transmit results at different times.

On the Supervisor of Elections’ website, the unofficial results page updates in real time the number of precincts reporting, as well as whether early voting and vote-by-mail ballots are included.

Beginning at 4 p.m. on March 16, the City of Gainesville Canvassing Board will be meeting to canvass the returns from the election. As mentioned above, preliminary results will not be released until after the polls close at 7 p.m. All canvassing board meetings are open to the public and take place on the first floor of the Josiah T. Walls Building (515 N. Main St., Gainesville). A full schedule for the canvassing board can be found by clicking here.
