Like everyone across the globe, Dr. Allison Couture (MPA '20) had her world turned upside down when COVID-19 struck. However, Couture had a unique vantage point: as a master's degree student at the La Follette School and as a practicing doctor. Read more

Without an infusion of new federal assistance, the nation's largest central cities will experience large drops in revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic according to a research paper by Professor Emeritus Andrew Reschovsky and two colleagues. Read more 
Students' project addresses housing aid for survivors of domestic violence
La Follette School students in their capstone course, Workshop in Public Affairs (PA 869), addressed the question from End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) about how the state might improve access to Emergency Assistance grants for survivors of domestic violence. Read more.
Dresang course on Progressive Politics in Wisconsin begins Sept. 23
Professor Emeritus Dennis Dresang is teaching a course this fall on The History of Progressive Politics in Wisconsin through UW-Madison's Division of Continuing Studies. The five-session weekly course begins September 23 and concludes October 21. Read more
