From The Music and Tech Corner
From Holly: We truly enjoyed the beauty and reverence of All Saints Sunday last week.  The addition of candles, beloved names of the faithful departed, and the ringing of a bell, lifted us all to prayerful gratitude and remembrance.  We are grateful we could be worshipping with so many of you.

When you read this, we hope you've enjoyed another Wednesday evening of Sacred Sing!, and with no technical glitches, which do "dog us" at times. Thanks for your continued prayers and support for this ministry. This coming week, on Veteran's Day, we hope you'll join us to hear Claudia's lovely rendition of "It is Well With My Soul".  We'll sing "Eternal Father, Strong to Save", "What a Friend We have in Jesus", and also "Wonderful, Merciful Savior".  In these dark and challenging days, choose to lift your voice in song and praise to our God!

From Ralph:
This past Tuesday Jack Ferguson delivered a beautiful, 3-sided plexiglass screen to the loft of the sanctuary so that we can safely do more in the loft with individual instrumentalists and soloists. The first use perhaps will be one-at-a-time persons who join Holly in singing the hymns for our church services. We’re looking forward to safe ways to use this gift to it’s fullest. It looks beautiful and is functionally perfect for the application. Thanks so much, Jack, for your labor of love!

Blessings, grace and peace in our Lord....
Holly and Ralph

Encourage One Another
You are invited to share how you have experienced God's grace since the start of the pandemic. Think of a specific time when a person or formal ministry of All Saints' impacted you positively either as someone you sharing your gifts with, as someone receiving the gifts of another, or as a witness to others sharing God's love. How did that experience make you feel? What impact did that have on the community? What makes you passionate about that ministry moment? Please share your story as we focus on encouraging one another.

Reflections From Sandi Johnson -

Last Tuesday, I went to work at Lord & Tailor along with 3 other volunteers. One of the workers gave each of us a “sweet gift” because she was leaving for North Carolina in a week. This  wasn’t all that happened that day. All of a sudden she came out into the sorting room with a lighted birthday cake & a card for me signed by the other workers. This was such a wonderful & kind gesture. I was feeling a little “down” & this really lifted my spirits. Encouraging folks in small ways is so important, especially at this time.
I feel so fortunate to be a part of All Saints & especially the Lord & Tailor thrift shop. All of us who are involved with Lord & Tailor are dedicated to this ministry. Providing quality, affordable clothing & shoes for everyone in our area is our mission. Lord & Tailor isn’t just a shop. It’s a place where people meet & socialize as well as purchase clothing, etc. I want to personally thank all of the Lord & Tailor volunteers for their hard work & encouragement.

Share your story with Pastor Bill or our Senior Warden and E-news Editor Carolyn Sundquist. They can be as creative as you wish and any format. They could be a 2-3 sentence written impact statement, a 1-2 minute video chat, or a formal written short story. Photos to accompany your story are always great!

A Request From the Budget Committee
The Budget Committee met Thursday via Zoom to start work on next year's budget. Because of so many unknowns it proved to be very difficult. To give us a better picture, it is critical that 2021 pledges are returned as soon as possible. Some other contributions have been eliminated because of the uncertainty as to whether or not we can have any large group fundraisers such as the Summer Fair. Some expenses have been cut but as is usual with any organization the largest expense is salary and benefits. This year we were able to take advantage of a PPP loan from the federal government to help defray salary and utility expenses. There is no guarantee that will happen in 2021.

For those who have already submitted a Pledge Card...thank you! For those still to come...thank you!
If you have not pledged before, we ask that you do so this year to the best of your ability as it helps with our planning. We are aware that circumstances are such that for some it may not be possible but if you can, we would appreciate it.
.
Blessings -
Bill Woodard, Joanne Crowe, Carolyn Sundquist

God Sightings
Although this was actually taken last summer, they continue to be an inspiration to me of God's presence in our community and in our lives.
