HIGHLIGHTS
Two Study Sessions delve into development of Equity Policy, Behavior Response Matrix
The Board of Education heard from the MUSD Culture of WE Equity Team, which is crafting an Equity Policy for the district, and the Learning & Development Team, which is developing a Behavior Matrix, in a pair of Study Sessions to kick off the April 26 meeting.

The Equity Policy presentation can be reviewed here. The team presented the policy as an information item to build shared understanding as well as gather input from MUSD board members and families. This draft policy will come back to the Board for additional review after the Culture of We Equity Team gathers additional stakeholder input per the Board's direction.

The Behavior Response Matrix presentation can be reviewed here. The Behavior Response Matrix work is one of the measurable outcomes and activities outlined in the MUSD Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CCEIS) 2020 Plan reviewed earlier this school year. The Behavior Response Matrix will be embedded in a larger Code of Conduct. These updates will be reflected in the MUSD Parent Handbook for the 2022-2023 school year.
