As we approach the 2021 APA Poolplayer Championships, I wanted to send out an important message. This year is going to be quite different than any other Vegas events the APA has ever hosted. There are going to be many changes for this year’s event and we want to highlight a few things we need your help with.

We NEED your team to make sure you accomplish these things BEFORE they travel to Las Vegas.

  1. Make sure you have the Member Services app installed and setup on your phone
  2. Register Electronically for each Tournament you are participating in
  3. Download the Compusport app on your phone
  4. Save a shortcut to the Event Program on your phone’s home screen
  5. Bring a supply of masks, hand sanitizer, wipes, etc...

1) Make sure you have the Member Services app installed and setup on your phone.

The main reason we want you to have this done is to help with #2 on the list, Registering Electronically for Tournaments. The only way to do this is to use the Member Services app/website which I will cover this in the next paragraph. Another important reason is that the more plugged into the Member Services you are, the more satisfied you will be with your League experience. As we move forward, we will be integrating all future enhancements and features into this app, and you will want to have access to these valuable features.

To find the app in the app store, have them search for “APA Pool League”. They can also use their computer, tablet or phone by visiting https://league.poolplayers.com/

2) Register Electronically for each Tournament you are participating in

To limit the need for players to stand in long lines in a pandemic, we created a way for players to “pre-register” before they ever travel out to Las Vegas and avoid the long lines.

You need to register for events you are playing in BEFORE they travel to Las Vegas. (This does not apply to Minis. Registration for Minis must be done in person). There will be an Information Booth at the event to help players with registration issues, but the booth will not handle large amounts of people. You can register 2 weeks prior to the start of your event.

3) Download the Compusport app on their phone

Having the Compusport app installed and ready to go will help our players be ready when it’s time to start play. To find the app in your app store, search for “Compusport”.

4) Save a shortcut to the Event Program on their phone’s home screen

The Event Program has gone entirely digital this year and it has been specifically formatted to work on a smartphone.

You can find the event program at https://media.poolplayers.com/2020-2021-Poolplayers-Championships-Event-Program/

5) Bring a supply of masks, hand sanitizer, wipes, etc... to Vegas

The guidelines from the CDC and the local Nevada and Clark County officials are changing every few days. There is a high probability that players will have to wear masks while being indoors. If this guidance comes down in the middle of the event, there will be lots of players needing masks and finding some to buy will be very difficult. Get ahead of this and make sure your players have what they need to be safe.

Please make sure your team plays any matches scheduled while you are in Las Vegas BEFORE you go.
