Dear BDC Family & Friends,
Week 5 brought us some sun, some rain, and an incredible day of OLYMPIC competition! Huge shoutout to Team New Zealand for their OLYMPIC DAY victory! Adorned in black, Team New Zealand displayed incredible Courage and Good Spirit all day long. Check out the OLYMPIC DAY trophy in the Camp Office to see which country won in previous summers!
This coming week is GOLD-RUSH! A long-time camp favorite, GOLD-RUSH embraces the thrill and excitement of treasure hunting all around campus - be careful of the bandits who will try to take your treasure.

All campers and staff will be required to wear facial coverings while entering campus, until they are in their cohorts, as well as indoors, off-campus, as needed, and while riding transportation.

Campers and staff will socially distance themselves whenever possible. Program spaces are designed to facilitate 3’ of distance between cohorts. Indoor program spaces are designed to facilitate 3’ of distance between campers and staff. Use of communal space will be staggered, when possible, to allow for distancing and cleaning.

BDC offers Semi-Private Swim Lessons in our pool to campers enrolled in BDC programming. Certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructors coach your child for ½ hour of dedicated swim instruction after the camp day, from 4:00-4:30.

Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? We are excited to offer BDC campers and their families the opportunity to experience SCUBA diving in our pool. Discover Scuba Diving is an easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

BDC is thrilled to welcome rising 10th & 11th graders into our new Camper Leader Program for summer 2021! These Camper Leaders will participate in training sessions targeting social and emotional development, communication skills, and a variety of other life skills, then practice these skills with their peers during our 6-day or 3-day sessions.
