Individual Study Carrels

Seniors: Individual study carrels are still available for reservation on a first-come, first served basis in Preus Library. The carrels are located along the perimeter of the upper floor and are assigned for personal use on a per-semester basis. Contact Eddy Atwell to reserve a senior carrel for the fall. There are a limited number dedicated for this use.

Interested in the Health Sciences?

Are you interested in the Health Sciences field, whether as a doctor, dentist, optometrist, physical therapist, or any of the many others? If so, join the Health Sciences Club for their first meeting of the year, A WHIPPY WALK and get signed up! Meet in the 1st Floor Sam-Hoff Study Lounge at 7pm on Sunday, September 12. Questions? Transition to College Support Group

Want support as you transition to college? Counseling Service is offering a Transition to College peer support group for first year students. This is a safe place for students to share the successes and challenges they encounter as they adjust to life at Luther. Mondays from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. beginning on Monday, September 13, 2021. Interested in Radio Technology?

The Federal Communications Commission has issued a new call sign to the Luther College Amateur Radio Club: KWØLC (K-W-zero-L-C). Not to be confused with the campus broadcast station, amateur radio operators earn licenses from the FCC to provide two-way emergency communication during natural disasters, learn about and experiment with radio technologies including digital and space communication, and engage in competitions to increase operating skill. Art Exhibit Opening Reception: Sept 14, 9:45-10:45, Hovde Lounge in Preus Library

The CEPE and the Coalition for Civil Freedoms present "Landscape and Seascape: Escaping Prison Through Art," a series of paintings and poetry by artist, Wali. Opening reception with light refreshments September 14. All are welcome.

Constitution Day

Stop by the Union from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, September 16 to celebrate Constitution Day with Carly Hayden Foster’s Constitutional Law class. Students will share Constitution-themed games, presentations and demonstrations!

The Constitution of the United States was signed by the Constitutional Convention delegates in Independence Hall, Philadelphia on September 17, 1787. Constitution Day became a holiday in 1997, and is celebrated on September 17 each year.

Recreation and Wellness

6x6 Soccer entries are due on Thursday, Sept. 9th by 4pm. This is a Sunday afternoon league for 4-weeks. Sign up here.

Sand Volleyball leagues are also due on Thursday, Sept. 9th by 4pm. Get your team of six together and let's play!!!!

4-Square Night!!! Do you remember how much fun 4 square was? We are bringing it back on Friday night Sept. 10th from 4-6:30pm. We will have a couple squares ready to play in front of the Union and will have the ball. YOU provide the fun and laughs!!!

Bonfire/S'mores!!! Friday night, Sept. 10th starting at 7:30 on the south side of Valders. Bring your friends and enjoy the beginnings of crisp fall nights as you enjoy a s'more (or two)!

The kayak/canoe trips are on! The river conditions are good and we look forward to having you join us on the river. We are currently full for Sept. 12 but there are still spots available for all other Sundays through Oct. 10th. You must reserve a spot. They will go fast so get signed up!!!

Are you interested in taking yoga?
Classes are held in the Regents Center dance studio Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 5:30pm. Come when you can! We encourage you to bring your own mat but we will have some equipment available if you don't. Masks are required.

When adding events to your personal Google calendar, please refrain from using the "rooms" tab located next to "guests". If you choose a room on campus under this tab, it places your event onto the master room calendar for campus. Instead, you can type the location into the description. Thank you! Campus Programming.
