Stress Management
“Your best is enough, and accept the things you can’t change.”

Stress is a feeling we all experience due to challenges that might come from sources such as relationships, work, finances, or planning for the future. Learning to manage your stress can boost your well-being, and lead to a happier, healthier life. The first step is to identify the triggers: what makes you irritable, angry, or worried? Take time to breathe. Then think, what helps you relax? Maybe it’s taking a walk outside, spending time in nature, listening to your favorite music, reading a book, journaling, or taking a relaxing bath. Healthy coping mechanisms can help relieve pressure and boost your resilience.

  • This year has been full of change, which can trigger stress. Employee Assistance has put together helpful tips for managing the stress of change and transition.
  • The outdoors are a great source of increasing your well-being. Watch our recorded webinar for ideas of how to make the most of your time outside.
  • Staying active is a great stress reliever— join any of our Active @ Work workshops to get the body moving.
  • Eating well provides our bodies fuel for good energy levels. Cook Well Berkeley offers healthy recipes and cooking classes.
  • Awareness, connection, insight, and purpose are the four pillars of the science of training the mind. The Healthy Minds App offers a motivating way to improve your well-being through the convenience of your smartphone.
