Paul Harris Points 101
With Past President Joanne Croghan
A multipart series on the Rotary Foundation featuring your Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the Foundation Committee all about?
A: The Rotary Foundation is a registered tax-deductible charity (501c3) that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs.
It is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and Friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world.
Fifty percent of the money we donate to the Foundation, comes back to our District to be awarded as grants.
Our committee is chaired by me, Joanne Croghan, and Charlie Averill. We are available to answer your questions about the Foundation and help direct Rotarians to the giving level they desire and how they chose to give.
Contributions of ANY amount are always welcome. Our goal is 100% participation from our club.
Q: What is Rotary Direct?
A: Rotary Direct is just the easiest way to contribute to The Rotary Foundation. When you go to your “My Rotary” page and click the DONATE button, the rest is easy. Many members donate $84 each month which adds up to $1,008 a year and then become members of the Paul Harris Society. My Rotary link is HERE.
