April 2023
Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County (CTKF) is proud to have kicked off the start of 2023 by raising approximately $12,300 for children in need on Fairfield County Giving Day, and we have you to thank! The donations will help us meet the clothing needs of school-age children living in Fairfield County who are in desperate need of CTKF's services. If you missed the online giving event that took place on February 23rd, you can still support our mission by clicking the button below!

CTKF is thrilled to welcome spring, as we are looking forward to brighter days ahead! Your support is needed as we revamp the store for a new season. CTKF anticipates this to be one of our busiest years yet, as the number of children registering to shop in our store continues to rise. The families of children CTKF serves cannot afford to purchase clothing, forcing their children to wear ill-fitting, soiled, or extremely worn clothing. Remember how you felt when you were sent to school wearing clothing you hated? It is difficult to pay attention in school. Will you help CTKF provide clothing to those in our community who are suffering? You can also help CTKF by volunteering to hold a clothing drive for new items with your friends or fellow employees. Make a donation that will impact lives.
Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County is grateful for our wonderful volunteers! This month, we'd like to recognize a volunteer named Stella who has organized a clothing drive at her school, volunteered time in the store to organize clothing, and donated a portion of her Bat Mitzvah gift money to CTKF. Here is a little about Stella and why she chose CTKF as the organization for her Bat Mitzvah Project:

"My name is Stella. I am a 7th grade student and I volunteered with Clothes to Kids of Fairfield County for my Bat Mitzvah Project. I chose Clothes to Kids because I wanted to help kids in my community and because I love fashion. I enjoyed my time volunteering at Clothes to Kids - I sorted clothes, socks and underwear to improve the shopping experience for our clients. I also held a drive at my Hebrew School - I designed a marketing flier and made sure everyone knew to donate clothes. Helping at Clothes to Kids made me feel like part of a team. Knowing that we were helping kids show up at school ready to learn means a lot to me."
St. Luke's Students Celebrate the Memory of Classmate Jordan Robinson & Donate Clothing to CTKF
On Saturday, February 11th, the St. Luke’s Community celebrated the life of Jordan Robinson, a St. Luke's Class of 2020 graduate. There was a special ceremony in the Athletic Center gym. In addition, a group of students from SLS who volunteer at Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County (CTKF), celebrated Jordan's life by organizing a clothing drive for CTKF. Jordan was a student at Pace University when he passed away unexpectedly on February 13th, 2022, due to pulmonary issues. He was a beloved son, brother, teammate, and leader. Jordan is remembered for his immense kindness and compassion, infectious laugh, and remarkable leadership on the football field, in classes, and through tireless social justice work.
Have you checked out CTKF's Amazon Wish List? Next time you're browsing on Amazon, take a peek at our wish list, which includes clothing items that we are experiencing a shortage of. Many items range from just $10-$20 and would provide a child with a much-needed piece of clothing. Help us fulfill our shoppers' needs by purchasing an item or two!
CTKF is recruiting riders for the TD 5 Boro Bike Tour taking place on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Ride for Team CTKF and fundraise for Fairfield County children in need of quality clothing!
