December 10, 2021
Dear St. Anne Catholic School Families:
The month of December is filled with many fun activities and Christmas Break is just around the corner. It has been a wonderful year, with much to celebrate and be thankful for. We see and feel God’s presence each and every day here at school, through our students, parents, faculty and staff. This was especially apparent during our Christmas performance last night, from the beautiful songs the students sang to the willingness of so many to jump up and help to commandeer a new piano when ours stopped working. Special thanks to Mrs. Jones for all her hard work planning the show and preparing the students. She didn’t skip a beat when the piano stopped working. As they say, the show must go on!
Congratulations to Crosby Hopkins and Audrey Ward for winning our spelling bees. We are so proud of all of our students who participated. Thank you to Mrs. West and Mrs. Ross, and our teachers for planning and moderating the bee.
Looking ahead to next week, we have a week filled with Christmas spirit wear. Please check the Christmas Spirit Week calendar below for details. We also have our gingerbread house decorating competition and our Toy drive continues through Friday. PreK and Kindergarten will have their Christmas program on Friday at 10am in the gym, with their Christmas parties happening on Thursday. All other classes will have their Christmas parties on Friday. Friday is a half day, and we will have classroom pickup for all students.
At Mass on Sunday, we will light the Joy (pink) Advent candle as we enter the third week of Advent anxiously awaiting Christmas and the celebration of Christ's birth.
Have a blessed weekend!
Only by His Grace,
Kendall Shamas
Principal
