MAINTAINING TEAM MOTIVATION WORKSHOP

The Foundational Leadership Alumni Group is offering the community an opportunity to participate in an inspiring, free 60-minute presentation and conversation on Wednesday, August 25 at 11 am EDT with Dane Jensen titled Maintaining Team Motivation Through the Troughs.

The session will focus on the four main allies leaders have to maintain motivation through tough times. Dane is a leadership development expert and teaches in the Full-Time and Executive MBAs at the Smith School of Business.
This session is hosted by the Foundational Leadership Alumni Group, a growing community open to all Queen’s employees interested in leadership development.

R4R@Q WEBINAR SERIES - CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Identifying conflicts of interest can be challenging and appear where you least expect it. Join the Vice-Principal Research Portfolio's Office of Partnerships and Innovation on Wednesday, August 25 from 2 to 3 pm EDT for a webinar on Conflict of Interest in Research and Commercialization.

Presenters from the Research Contracts Unit will share various scenarios that face faculty members at Queen's and will describe ways to identify and address potential conflicts of interest.

The Faculty of Arts and Science is committed to supporting our people through ongoing training and development by providing learning and development assistance to staff who chose to build new skills and develop in their current or future roles. DAVID EDNEY RESEARCH TRAVEL AWARD

The David Edney Research Travel award provides two graduate students in the Faculty of Arts and Science with an opportunity to study and do research in Paris, France, for up to two months in the summer in a fully-equipped apartment owned by Queen's alumnus, Professor David Edney. The opportunity comes with a stipend of up to $1,800 to support expenses related to research, travel and cultural experiences.

Two students will be selected on the basis of academic excellence, merit, and the quality of the proposal. The award will be available to funding-eligible Master's or PhD level students enroled in a graduate program in any Faculty of Arts and Science discipline.
