“To improve is to change: To be perfect is to change often.”
Winston S. Churchill
The outdoor season is in full flight, and it's wonderful to see junior and adult programs underway for the Spring once again at our Community Club partners; Milton Tennis Club, Burlington Tennis Club, All Canadian Tennis Centre at Hillfield Strathallan College, Bridlewood Tennis Club, and Mimico Tennis Club; while we are very excited about the new partnerships we have forged with Lyndwood Tennis Club in Mississauga, and Port Hope Tennis Club. We are providing programs for all levels and age groups - so we encourage everyone to find a suitable program to join this Spring as we prepare for a Summer filled with tennis activity and camps, including our new initiative; Soccer, Tennis & Wellness Camp (see below).

My life has been filled with constant change: learning Tennis in Montego Bay where I grew up; my family coming to Canada when I was a teenager with my father, a doctor moving to Saskatchewan, and me living in Toronto for my tennis; then going on to Southern Illinois University, followed by a return to Canada to train with my partner Pierre Lamarche while travelling the ATP tour; then heading back to Jamaica to help lead the country’s tennis for 18 years, then coming back to Canada to become a partner with Pierre almost 11 years ago. Those experiences have enabled me to deal with changes in a positive manner. It is an opportunity for rebirth, reevaluation, improvements and growth. When viewed this way, you become fearless and embrace the possibilities.

The above is valid as we face changes with three great coaches leaving us. [Read below]. Their experiences will make them better professionally and personally, and we cannot hope for more. These individuals have helped Ace maintain its leadership role in player development, and we are very grateful to them.

We are also excited about the new coaches joining our team, coaches from Ukraine, Brazil, and France. [Read below]. This summer will be an excellent opportunity for those participating in our high-performance training initiatives. We will have our departing coaches and our new coaches working together in Burlington and Milton to facilitate the transition.

Finally, our competitive players of all age groups are happy to engage in more tournament play, as All Canadian continues to be a leader in the area of event management by the ongoing staging of tournaments in all categories at Cedar Springs Club and now also at our various partner Community Clubs.

Here's to a great summer ahead!

FITNESS WORKSHOP - FOCUS IS ON FAST TRACKING SUCCESS

To help fast track our players success in tennis by developing the athlete first,
ACE Fitness Director Adrian Boubalos is focusing on the athletic pathway and "formula" that is required to help fast track a young player's success in tennis and maximize their potential to achieve a scholarship and beyond.

Boubalos says; "At a very young age, developing a full range of athletic skills is arguably more important than hitting a tennis ball, and in turn this will help your child progress rapidly in tennis. I have been using this formula since September and it is based on raw Pro Tour Experience and what my mentor taught me - arguably one of Canada's top Strength & Conditioning Coach, Clement Golliet.

ACE is running a Workshop introducing the concepts for parents and players in the U12 ACE competitive stream, and participants will enjoy a day of fun games, competition, prizes, refreshments and more. Event will be held on June 11th, 2022 at the Burlington Tennis Club.
All Canadian operates a wide range of tournaments including two International Tennis Federation International Junior events, Provincial Championships, the Canadian Indoor Championships, the ACE Super Series, the All Canadian City Circuit, the ONcourt Adult Circuit, the Ace Cup between Ontario and Quebec, as well as over 200 sanctioned Ontario Tennis events.
