Coffee with Leaders featuring Mayor Angela Birney
|
Wednesday, Jan. 25th, local business and community representatives attended OneRedmond’s first Coffee with Leaders event with Mayor Angela Birney as the featured leader. Attendees enjoyed networking, coffee, and pastries, along with a Q&A session with Mayor Birney at Hoffman’s Fine Cakes and Pastries. Mayor Birney answered questions regarding Redmond Safety, Business Expansion, and Parking.

Welcome New OneRedmond Board Member Keri Pravitz
Keri Pravitz is a manager of Community Engagement for Amazon leading hyperlocal engagements and investments for the Eastside region on the Public Policy Team of Washington. Prior to Amazon, Keri served in community engagement and government relations roles at the Port of Seattle and Puget Sound Energy following two decades in non-profit management leadership positions in East King County. Keri also serves on the boards for OneRedmond and Renton Regional Community Foundation. Keri and her wife Niko, three teenagers and multiple cats live in Bellevue.

New Funding Opportunity
Following the declaration of Racism as a Public Health Crisis, King County Council allocated $25 million in general funds to advance equitable economic recovery and racial justice through community-centered, co-creative grantmaking processes.
You can learn more and apply here by Tuesday, March 28, 2023, for the Capacity-building, General, and Small Business grants. Physical Infrastructure grants will close on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
