Dear State Commissioners, Designees, and Ex-officio Members,
 
We hope you had a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday well-spent with friends and family. Thank you for a great Annual Business Meeting. While we felt it necessary to meet virtually again this year, we are hopeful that we will be able to convene in-person in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2022.
 
On behalf of Vice Chair Ernise Singleton (LA) and Treasurer, Brian Henry (MO), I would like to express our appreciation to all of you. We are honored that you have entrusted us with the stewardship of MIC3, and we look forward to working with you over the next year. In addition, would like to express my deep appreciation for the following commissioners who have graciously volunteered to lead our standing committees:
  • Rules – Mary Gable (MD)
  • Compliance – Steven Bullard (KY)
  • Communications and Outreach – Chad Delbridge (WY)
  • Training – Shelly Ramos (TX)
 
The Finance Committee will be led by Commissioner Brian Henry; and Don Kaminar (AR). as Past Chair, shall lead the Leadership Nomination Committee. Mr. Chuck Clymer will continue to serve as the U.S. Department of Defense military representative to the Commission.
 
Thank you for completing the recent Committee Preference Survey. We have made every effort to honor your preferences to the greatest extent possible. Final appointments were made to ensure each committee was well- balanced in number as well as in experience. Please review your committee assignments and meeting dates. This info is also posted on the Commissioner webpage. Meetings will convene in January.

With the new year approaching, the Executive Committee (EXCOM) met virtually on December 9-10th to plan for 2022. While have much work ahead in Year 3 of our strategic plan, and we look forward to working together with all of you to support successful education transitions of military students.
