Learn What Churches Are Doing
in Other Parts of the World
The Nurture Committee has two Sunday morning in-person education classes. Adults and youth are welcome; no sign-up required nor advance preparation. These will be opportunities to meet Presbyterian leaders who may be new to you. Join us on Sunday mornings, 9:45 – 10:45 a.m., in the back building’s Gathering Room. Coffee, tea, and some treats will be available.
This Sunday, March 26 – Come meet Rev. Eliane Menezes, a PC(USA) mission co-worker who works with the Guatemalan Presbyterian Church’s Presbyterian Women organization to help empower and strengthen them.
Next Sunday, April 2 – Rev. John Odom, General Presbyter for Mid-Kentucky Presbytery, will talk about what he learned on his recent sabbatical with the Northern Synod of the United Reformed Church of England, Scotland, and Wales, and from his mediation training with the Lombard Mennonites. He will share examples of how European churches are addressing dwindling memberships and using their buildings in positive ways.
Several CHPCers have expressed interest in on-going Sunday morning classes. If you would like to see more educational opportunities, please contact Soni Castleberry, chair of the Nurture Committee, at 502-417-6481, or soni.castleberry@gmail.com. We welcome ideas for topics and teachers.
