Winter 2021
Dear OMC School Parents/Guardians,
During September’s Back-to-School Nights, I had the privilege of describing the ongoing efforts of the OMC Home and School Association. While this year has been markedly different, we have continued to strive towards our dual goals of fundraising and volunteering. Achieving these goals relies on the time and talents of our dedicated volunteers. Thank you to the many parents who donate so much of their time and talents to help the Home and School Association achieve its mission of enhancing the spiritual, academic, cultural, social, and physical experiences of the children at Our Mother of Consolation Parish School.
My presentation at Back-to-School Nights included a description of how my family arrived at OMC, and why Chrissy and I made a concerted effort to help as volunteers in any way possible. I closed that talk challenging all our parents/guardians to come forward and help the cause. The time has now come to meet that challenge!
Due to expiring terms, the following Home and School Board positions need to be filled for the 2021-2022 school year:
-Vice President/President-Elect (2-year term)
-Treasurer/Co-Treasurers; duties can be split among two people (2-year term)
-Secretary (2-year term)
-Spring Soiree Chair/Co-Chairs; duties can be split among two/three people (2-year term)
-Trivia Night Chair/Co-Chairs; duties can be split among two/three people (2-year term)
-Bag Bingo Chair/Co-Chairs; duties can be split among two/three people (2-year term)
-Social Committee Chair/Co-Chair; duties can be split among two/three people (2-year term)
-Homeroom Parent Coordinator (2-year term)
-Hot Lunch Coordinator; conditions pending (2-year term)
The HSA cannot perform its duties effectively or successfully without a full complement of Board Members. We need you and continue to need you to be involved in the building of a strong and vibrant school environment for your children, OMC staff, and all our school families. As a reminder, volunteering is a way of life at our school. Each family is expected to participate in at least one volunteer activity during the school year. Our school relies on your volunteerism and support.
Please consider donating your time and talents to help the OMC Home and School Association continue to thrive and achieve its goals on behalf of the community. Existing volunteers are all very happy to pass on knowledge and help you along the way.
