Dear Assumption Students,
On behalf of the admissions team, I would like to share with you information relative to on-campus activities that we are conducting:
WALK AND TALK WITH A GREYHOUND
In the coming weeks, the admissions office will host a limited number of in-person tours for accepted students. Promoting the health and safety of our community remains our top priority. Visitors will not come into close contact with students. While on campus, admitted students are invited to experience a walk and talk opportunity with our student ambassadors. This walking tour of campus will be conducted under strict guidelines, including COVID-19 screening and social distancing. Our student ambassadors are equipped with additional personal protective equipment and they are participating in increased COVID-19 testing.
LIVESTREAM CAMPUS TOURS
Current students are conducting livestream tours using GoPro cameras throughout the week so that admitted students can virtually visit campus from home. You’ll see our students entering the Plourde Recreation Center, Hagan Campus Center, Tsotsis Family Academic Center, Testa Science Center, as well as Desautels Hall and Taylor Dining Hall. It’s okay to say hello, then walk past our student ambassadors during this time.
DRIVE THRU CAMPUS TOURS
Drive thru campus tours will continue and likely increase throughout the spring. As a reminder, these visitors remain in their vehicles and navigate the campus using a dedicated route enhanced by audio recordings. Please remain vigilant of drive thru tour traffic.
2021-2022 AMBASSADORS
Are you interested in helping us showcase Assumption to prospective students? Although this year’s admission process has looked different than prior years, our student ambassadors are making meaningful connections with prospective students. Current first-, second- and third-year students are invited to apply for a summer and/or Academic Year Ambassador position now on HandShake (Deadline April 16, 5 p.m.).
