1. Shabbat - May 28, 2022
Shabbat Service are now in-person as well as on Zoom - Masks and proof of vaccination required
Zoom log-in alert: Please note, due to a rise in disruptive infiltrators on Zoom presentations we are instituting security protocols. When you log-on you will be in a Zoom "waiting room." If have a problem being admitted, please send an email to TCSZoomShabbat@gmail.com with your full name and your phone number.

▶︎Our Shabbat Services are in-person at the Synagogue. We also run Zoom in order bring our services to those who are unable to attend in person. However, if you are able to attend we highly encourage you to join us. Shabbat is a day, for those who are able, to come together in person to worship together, study together, and enjoy each others company. All worshippers are masked and we've created socially distant seating. We hope all of those who are able, will join us at the Synagogue for Shabbat.

TCS/NT member, and dancer, choreographer, physician-assistant Jamie Stiller is teaching a sit/stand exercise group. For the duration, the group will meet every Monday, via Zoom, from 11am - 12pm. The focus of these classes will be on building strength in your core and extremities, learning to breathe mindfully to fuel your entire body, and having fun!
There is a $10 donation per class. Click here email Jamie and arrange payment (Venmo, checks, etc.).

[NEW] Barrington Stage: "Andy Warhol in Iran"

In 1976, Andy Warhol, the portrait painter of the rich and famouns, travels to Tehran to take Polaroids of the Shah's wife. While there, Warhol encounters a young revolutionary who throws his plans into turmoil. In this stunning new comedy, Brent Askari (Winner of Burman New Play Award) returns to Barrington Stage with a fictionalized portrait of the artist's famed visit to Iran.

Spencertown Academy's 18th annual Hidden Gardens Tour and Twilight in the Garden Party is back on schedule for mid-June in 2022. The glory of spring and promise of summer beauty will be on full display at the host properties in Columbia County, NY. There is a wide range of landscape styles and many delightful surprises one can only see and appreciate when you enter the grounds of these residences. Join us to be inspired by visits to four private gardens in Stuyvesant, Valatie and Spencertown.

PS21 - Re:INCARNATION by Qudus Onikeku and QDance (Nigeria)

The QDance Company’s Re:INCARNATION is a 2021 dance, music, fashion, and visual art creation that showcases the depth of ancient Yoruba philosophy, mixed with the current Nigerian youth culture and its pure and uncompromising joy.
Ten young dancers and two musicians perform the cycle of life with explosive energy, marked by the urban chaos of the Nigerian mega-city, Lagos. Re:INCARNATION pays homage to the wealth and profusion of Nigerian music, its Afro-beat roots being currently revisited by dancehall, hip-hop, and electro.
This musical genre, introduced and popularized by Fela Kuti, was born of an explosive cocktail of jazz, soul, funk, and traditional African music. In this mix of urban cultures, a reincarnation of the personal trajectories of each of the dancers comes to the fore with their references and memories.

Award-winning cabaret performer and member of the 92nd St. Y Music Faculty, Michael Kirk Lane curates a series of conversations about the art for of cabaret in New York City.
His guests for the April, May, and June sessions are:
April 25 - Melissa Errico, a Tony Award-nominated Broadway star, concert artist, and author.
May 23 - Norm Lewis, an Emmy, Tony, and SAG-nominated performer with a career spanning film, television, and theatre.
June 27 - Jeff Harnar, winner of multiple MAC, Bistro, and Broadway World Cabaret awards and the Noel Coward Foundation Cabaret Award.

8. ETC:
We are shocked, heartbroken, and outraged at the horrific murder of 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX. It was a senseless act of violence, among many such acts that plague our country today.
Words cannot heal the wounds of the families, friends, and community of the victims. We send our deep condolences to those grieving.
