LETTER OF INTENT SIGNING
INTO THE WOODS JR.
First and second graders from Harbor Hill, East Hills, and Heights had the opportunity to see The Royal Crown Players perform Into the Woods Jr. at Roslyn High School on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
EAST HILLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
East Hills Elementary School held a week-long circus skills program for fifth graders. Students had a lot of fun learning a variety of clever new tricks like stilt walking, plate-spinning, juggling, and hoola-hooping. The workshops focused on coordination, timing, and team building. At the end of the week, the fifth graders put on a lively performance inside the gym for the student body.
HARBOR HILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Harbor Hill 3rd graders put on a recorder concert performance in the gym on Friday, May 13, 2022. "All of the students worked tremendously hard to learn their first real instrument," said music teacher Dorothy Burns. "It was so exciting to see them perform live for their families, teachers, and friends." The music was a mix of old recorder classics such as "Hot Cross Buns" and hits such as "We Will Rock You." ROSLYN MIDDLE SCHOOL
Roslyn Middle School hosted their spring concert series from May 10th through May 12. The performing groups were a mix of chorus, band, jazz band, and orchestra from grades 6-8. Click dates below to access the live recordings.
A collection of art created by Roslyn Middle School students went on display at the Bryant Library. It's currently open to the public.
ROSLYN HIGH SCHOOL
Roslyn High School senior Samantha Edelman’s short film, From Inside Out was selected as one of four finalists (out of more than 70 films) in Stony Brook University’s inaugural Creative Writing + Filmmaking Contest.
Roslyn High School brought two teams to Cornell University’s annual programming competition—held Saturday, May 7th, 2022 at Cornell Tech Campus on Roosevelt Island. The competition provides high school students with an opportunity to compete and compare their programming skills.
Roslyn High School AP Art student Zhezhong (James) Yu was among 79 artists invited to exhibit at Long Island's Best: Young Artists at the Heckscher Museum 2022. During an awards ceremony, held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Heckscher Museum, James was presented with the Firefly Gallery Next Generation Award. "I am so happy for James on his accomplishment,” said art teacher Richard Ritter. “He is among a very select group of artists to be accepted to this exhibit." 
Students from Roslyn High School and Roslyn Middle School competed remotely at the Al Kalfus Long Island Math Fair on April 15, 2022, bringing back an impressive 50 medals—including 32 gold, 13 silver, and 5 bronze medals. Click link to see our long list of winners!
Two Roslyn High School seniors and members of the Royal Crown Players (RCP) have been recognized as semi-finalists in The Roger Rees Awards. Saydie Grossman (Best Actress) and Davey Fried (Best Actor) were nominated for their performances in RCP’s recent production of the musical, Big Fish. They are among fifty semi-finalists who will advance to masterclass competitions led by professional coaches and music directors.  
Five Roslyn High School ACCELerator Teams participated in a live Pitch Night on May 18, 2022 at Roslyn Middle School. 
Under the guidance of business teacher Jennifer Di Pietro, as well as a devoted team of mentors and coaches, students worked many months to hone their business plans before presenting them to the Roslyn Sharks—a collection of local, successful business professionals.
Roslyn High School students excelled in the 2022 NSPC Brain & Spine Surgery Health Science Competition—held May 18, 2022. Participants were invited to experiment and test any innovation in health science. 
Roslyn High School freshman swept the New York State awards in the 20th Annual eCYBERMISSION competition sponsored by the U.S. Army Educational Outreach Program. The competition is open to students in grades six through nine, challenging participants to identify a problem in their community to explore using scientific practices, or solve with engineering design.
SPRING CONCERT SERIES AT RHS
The Roslyn High School Music Department hosted their Spring Concert Series on Monday, May 23rd and Tuesday, May 24th—live in front of an audience. 

Monday's performances included Jazz Band, Orchestra (String and Chamber) and Band (Symphonic and Wind Ensemble). Tuesday's performances included Treble Chorus, Chamber Singers, and Mixed Chorus. The performances were live streamed and can be viewed with the links below:


On Wednesday, May 25, 2022, Roslyn High School hosted the 2022 Senior Departmental Awards to celebrate the academic accomplishments of the senior class. Click here to view a recording of the live-streamed ceremony. 
JUNIOR EVENT AT RHS
On Monday, May 23, 2022, from 6th to 9th period, RHS hosted the inaugural Junior Event day on the football field to celebrate the Junior Class of 2023!
TENNIS CHAMPS!
Junior Gavin Koo and 7th grader Drew Hassenbein placed first in the Nassau County invitational tennis tournament, held at Eisenhower Park. They were named Nassau County Doubles Champions and will move on to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association individual state tennis tournament in June.
Roslyn SEPTA and the CCPA presented an evening with Former Michigan State Spartan Basketball Player Anthony Ianni at RHS on May 16, 2022. As the first athlete with autism to play NCAA Division 1 Basketball, Anthony shared his inspiring and motivational story with the Roslyn community and taught basketball skills to the children.
