You may then enjoy the video as it plays live.
In-person worship at FPC continues this Sunday, December 6, 2020. Please choose one service below to attend. Each person attending must be registered using one of these forms. Only 50 participants are allowed in each worship service. Everyone attending worship is required to follow guidelines approved by the Covid Task Force listed here.

There will be an usher by the elevator if anyone needs to enter that way.

If you sign up for a service and know by Friday that you can't attend, please call the church office so we can open your spot up for someone else.

For any questions, concerns or help signing up for worship, please contact the church office by replying to this email or calling 234-1757.
This Sunday our virtual Sunday School will continue for Pre-K thru 6th grade from 9:45-10:00 am. We hope parents will support their children in participating. A Zoom link will be sent out to all parents in a dedicated email on Friday, December 4.
Seasonal greenery and berries dates are available throughout Advent. The dates available are December 13, 20, 27, and January 3. The church needs volunteers to help with sanctuary greening each Friday morning at 9:00 am during the Advent Season. All you need is your favorite pair of clippers and a mask! Social distancing will be observed and a mask is required in the building at all times. If you are able to help on December 4th, 11th, or 18th, please call Margaret Fancher at 234-1359 or email her at [email protected].
Advent Wholeness & Healing services are offered on Tuesdays, December 8th, and 15th, at 5:30 pm in the Sanctuary. These 30-minute services offer peace and solitude for all during the busy Christmas season and incorporate prayer, scripture and communion. Services will be streamed online each week on the church's Facebook page to ensure everyone may participate. Please sign up below to let us know to expect you.
It's not too late to sign up for FPC's Adult Faith Formation event, Advent Together! All are welcome to participate in this three part online program about the Christmas story shared through the Gospel of Luke, the Gospel of Matthew, and our favorite Christmas carols and hymns. Each session will happen online via Zoom over the next three weeks from 4:00 to 5:15 pm. Contact David Randolph at [email protected] if interested.
Bibles & Brews celebrates the holiday season in style with a special Jeopardy night on Wednesday, December 9th, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm via Zoom! All are welcome to participate in this online communal gathering and are encouraged to wear their favorite Christmas sweaters. Special thanks to the Rev. Allison Wehrung for her help with this Jeopardy night. Contact David Randolph for more details.
As our church family continues ministering during this season of social isolation, please continue to remember your faithful giving to our church. The ministry of FPC continues to make an impact within our congregation and throughout our community. Bible studies and various small group meetings continue online to enrich our lives through the sharing of scripture; local missional activities continue to care for others like More Than A Meal and Love Packs; partners in mission, like Interfaith Compassion, the pantry, Doors of Hope and more, continue their important work as well and we help make that possible.

There are a variety of ways you can give:

If you need help with any specific ways to give, please contact Frances Saralvarez at [email protected].
Mission
Hello, my name is Reid Rochelle and I am a member of BSA Troop 45 here in Oxford. I am currently a Life Scout working to attain the rank of Eagle Scout. With the ongoing COVID 19 Pandemic, many families continue to struggle and depend on the Oxford and Lafayette County Food Pantry for food supplies throughout the year.  Since the Pandemic, the Pantry has seen an increase of 50-70 percent in people needing food. I plan to have a food drive to collect the current requests of the Pantry.

With the help and availability of First Presbyterian Church UKIRK/PYF parking lot (corner of Harrison Avenue and South 10th St), my project will consist of 2 dates – Saturday, December 12th (10-12pm and 1-3pm) and Saturday, December 19th (same times).

The drop off will be similar to most curbside deliveries in order to maintain social distancing and following local guidelines from the City of Oxford.
Here is a list of the preferred donations for the Pantry:
  • Canned Corned Beef Hash
  • Canned Ravioli
  • Canned Spaghetti
  • Diced Tomatoes
  • Boxes of Cocoa Mix (Swiss Miss)
  • Canned Pork and Beans
  • Canned Fruit Cocktail
  • Vegetable Oil and other cooking oils

Thank you in advance for any sized donation!

Sincerely,
Reid Rochelle
