A message from our Missions Pastor
Hey Legacy Family,
The Lord is utilizing us to do great things within the community and around the world. Thank you, Legacy Church, for staying faithful to our prayer initiatives because it is making a difference. Like I’ve said before, it seems the more we pray for other countries the more doors God opens for us here to minister through.
If you remember last month’s newsletter, you saw we sent support to Heavenly Bridge Ministries to supply bibles to the pastors; before the bibles they preached from old pamphlets and sermon notes passed down to them. Pastor Moses, one of our Partners in Uganda, said the pastors and church leaders were full of joy and faith when they received the bibles. As they deal with a second wave of Covid, which adds to the day to day hardships typically known in third world countries, the pastors feel strengthened by these bibles and your faithfulness, Legacy Church. Pastor Moses even overheard the pastors saying “with these bibles they feel confident that the Lord will help them through this tough time.” God is so good, and I’m so glad we played a part in their joyful experience.
Christmas in July was a great hit! Hundreds of boxes were given away to be filled, and we are tracking to meet our church goal of 500 boxes this year. Remember as you get an early start on filling these boxes, pray for each box you have. Pray that every child that receives a box will be ministered to. Pray that an opportunity for the gospel message they will receive from those boxes will impact and lead to salvation. Thank you, OCC team, for leading this effort! Oh yes, look below in the main portion of this newsletter for your monthly tip in shopping to fill up your boxes.
As we continue to pursue the Lord's direction for Legacy Missions, we want to open up the conversation and training for personal evangelism. On Aug 21st, we will begin that conversation and training. We will talk about how to take our personal evangelism to the next level in this modern age. We will find that there are some do’s and don'ts when it comes to evangelism, and we must be up for the challenge because that is what Jesus has commissioned us to do. So, don’t miss out, and sign up if you're not obligated to another training session.
With that being said, I want to challenge you to do something. I want to challenge you to pray for someone in your circle who doesn’t know who the Lord Jesus Christ is. I want to challenge you to look out for the opportunities to open dialogue with them when it comes to your faith. In those opportunities, remember seeds are being sown and salvation could be near for them. If you do accept this challenge, please email me with any testimonies, questions, tips, or prayer needs.
Blessings,
Patrick Iga
