The Leadership Letter is a monthly newsletter dedicated to announcing current events related to MEC's Leadership Mississippi Program. It is a special publication that highlights alumni and their outstanding work and achievements in the business economy across the state of Mississippi.
Wishing you and your family a safe and happy holiday season!
The Giving Tuesday Challenge
Giving Tuesday marked a day of global generosity for many people to give back to their community. In light of this, Leadership Mississippi is extending the opportunity for you to participate in a Giving Tuesday Challenge all-month-long!

Each day is your chance to donate, with a special prompt to consider.
TODAY: Give $20 if you are celebrating a reunion year!

Congratulations to the Class of 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2015!

We hope this will be a fun and exciting challenge for all of our alumni.

In addition to the Giving Challenge, we ask that you also fulfill your $100 annual contribution. By paying your annual contribution, you will remain active in Leadership Mississippi, be the first to receive information and updates related to new programming and initiatives for the upcoming year and have the gratification of giving back to the program of which you are proud.
Click Here to submit your annual contribution.

Your financial gifts will help us continue to expand this program to better reach prospective participants - and to build more opportunities for you, our alumni, to engage and network and serve the community.

Thank you for your contributions. We appreciate you!
Leadership Mississippi Uniting Leaders
Last month, Cathy Northington and Courtnie Mack visited the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, MS. After meeting some of the campus leaders and sitting with President Nora Miller, LM Class of '08, it was clear to us the dedication, passion and excitement they all shared for UNITY.

Through sponsorship of MUW's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council, the campus presented UNITY, “an interactive public art project” created in 2016 by Nancy Belmont. It was important to President Miller and the Council to create and encourage engagement and give representation to every member of their campus community.

Leadership Mississippi would like to continue this effort in presenting to you: Leadership Mississippi Uniting Leaders. Leadership Mississippi is made up of a diverse group of alumni, more than 1,500, from across the state. Now, more than ever, we must embrace and showcase the differences that bring us together.

To participate in this unifying effort, click here. It will take 10 minutes or less to complete the form. We invite you to be as honest and transparent as possible. Rest assured, your responses will be recorded but remain anonymous.

Be sure to stay tuned to future Leadership Mississippi correspondence as we will creatively present the final results in the near future.
Leadership Mississippi Class of 2020
On Thursday, November 19th, the Leadership Mississippi Class of 2020 (21) ended this class year in Hattiesburg, MS!

This virtual session brought together our current cohort of fellows and invited guests and alumni to discuss the business climate, evident military presence and signature cuisine only found in the Hub City.

On the call was Callison Richardson, Director of Community Development at Area Development Partnership, Jim Coll, Chief Communication Officer at The University of Southern Mississippi, Robert St. John, Owner of New South Restaurant Group and Founder of Extra Table and Leadership Mississippi Class of '96, Dr. Bryan Batson, President of Hattiesburg Clinic, Rick Taylor, Executive Director of Hattiesburg Convention Commission and Seth Paridon, Deputy Director of the Mississippi Armed Forces Museum.

The Leadership Mississippi Class of 2020 will continue their time with us in 2021, as part of the extension due to the current pandemic. We are exciting to host this dynamic group for yet another year and need our alumni support to keep moving forward. Let us know how you want to participate and engage with the current fellows as we anticipate the new year.
