Dear Incoming 6th Grade Families,

Thank you for joining us on this "Journey to Knighthood" as we prepare for 6th grade at Trivium Prep. In today's videos, Mrs. Heppner and Mr. Simmons will discuss "Preparing for Academic Excellence," followed by videos from our Student Deans.

We'll hear from Mr. Grable about the role of Student Deans, Mrs. Brinker about school uniforms, and Ms. Ochoa about hallway etiquette.

Don't forget to take advantage of the Barnes & Noble Book Fair from June 4-12 to purchase consumable books for 6th grade. Visit the Book & Supply Lists page on our website for more details.

Additionally, please pre-order your 6th grade P.E. Uniform and Bag. Information can be found here.

For a recap of all the videos in this series, visit our Information for Incoming 6th Grade Families page on our website.

Curriculum

At Trivium Prep, 6th grade students have seven class periods with seven teachers. The classes are: Literature and Composition, Math, Latin, American History, Introduction to Fine Arts, Life Science, and Physical Education, along with recess and lunch. Students will receive their class schedule during Student Orientation in August.

Save the Date for Student Orientation - Tuesday, August 2

Mark your calendar for Trivium Prep Student Orientation on Tuesday, August 2. This day is set aside for students to tour the campus and follow their class schedule, as we get ready for the start of school. Students arrive in uniform and typically meet in the gym for words of welcome. Students will then pick up their class schedules and locker assignments. Students walk through their class schedule change (5 minutes per class) to meet their teachers. Student mentors will be on-hand to guide our 6th grade students. Orientation is for students only. Parents will have the opportunity to tour the classrooms and meet their child's teacher during Curriculum Night, early on in the school year.
