Important Information From Your Board of Directors
New Property Management Company – Slatter Management and
Minutes of Board & Search Committee Meetings Posted
In May of this year, Deborah Roskelly, owner of Roskelly Management Associates LLC (RMA), informed the Board that she had decided to retire after 16 years of dedicated service to our community. The Board promptly started a detailed search for a replacement (this procedure is detailed in the Minutes of our meetings posted on our website, ljvillages.com).
After reviewing submissions from professional property management firms and individuals willing to serve as our manager, we have selected Slatter Management Services, Inc. They will assume the Property and Operations Management position on September 27th. Slatter Management has also been awarded the Accounting Management contract currently held by Aprio effective October 1st.
We are pleased to share that Ms. Jennifer Smith, an experienced HOA manager (employee of Slatter) who impressed the Board in the search process interview, will be our on-site manager (in the HOA office at the Recreation Club) daily. You may reach Jennifer, starting on the 27th, using the same HOA cell phone number 336-382-3663 that you have called in the past. Jennifer will send out an email to our membership on the 27th with her email address and other important information relating to the payment of Association dues. Please stop by the HOA office to meet her. Office hours are 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Monday through Friday.
This is a “bitter sweet” announcement for those of us on the board who have known and worked with Deborah for many years. We hate to see her go but wish Deborah and Jim a happy and long retirement in their beautiful mountain home! We know many members will want to share.
