Falcon Friends Needed!

As a way to help our new families, the Family School Association (FSA) “pairs up” incoming families with current families. This has been very well received by our new families, helping them to feel a part of the SFX Community right away and allowing for new students to be able to see a familiar face on their first day of school.

You can meet for a play date, grab ice cream at Tate’s, anything you think of!  It takes a small amount of time to help make such a big impact.

If you are an existing school family and your family is willing to be a Falcon Friend to a new family, please let FSA know by visiting this form:

Please note Kristin Janiszewski and/or Liz Musker (the New Family and Social Chair) will reach out to families paired with friends in June. Thanks so much!
Olympic Day and Class Picnic Chaperones Needed!*
A link to the online signup for classroom chaperones will be sent to families at 7:00pm on Thursday, May 19.

  • Olympic Day will be held for students in grades K-7 on Friday, June 3. We are seeking a limited number of parents to help chaperone students during Olympic Day activities.
  • Class Picnics will take place between 6/2 and 6/8. (Dates and times will be included within the signup.) We are also seeking a limited number of parents to chaperone and walk with the classrooms to and from the respective locations of the class picnics, as well as to provide bottled water and popsicles. Parents will be limited to signing up for one volunteer slot per classroom.

*Parents signing up to chaperone must be in compliance with the school's volunteer requirements including having a record of completion of Protecting God’s Children and the Online Illinois Mandated Reporter Training on file with the school office.

Thank you for understanding that for safety reasons, we kindly ask that younger siblings do not accompany chaperoning parents.

THANK A SFX FACULTY OR STAFF MEMBER!

Click & Clap is our year-round positive recognition program allowing families to acknowledge special moments, and thank a SFX Faculty or Staff member for something they have done that has left a positive impression on your child or on your family in a special way. Click & Claps are shared with the named faculty or staff member by Mrs. Garcia.

Thank you for the many parents who have used Click & Clap again this year to let an individual Teacher, Staff Member or Administrative Team Member know that they are appreciated! Your words of encouragement mean so much!
