Happy December! I have said in years past that I really wanted the holiday season to slow down so I could enjoy it, and I gotta say, I'm kinda torn this year! I definitely want to enjoy it, but I DON'T want to see the clock to keep counting the seconds of 11:59 on New Year's Eve! I sure hope I haven't jinxed anything! I was just reading the newsletter I wrote last December, and after wrapping up the previous decade I asked, "Where are the '20s going to take us?" 😲 I think we can all agree that this first year hasn't impressed us much, but I certainly hope that it can only get better from here. Again, hoping I did not just jinx anything!
What I can also hope for, is that you all are getting your holiday spirit on! If you're having some trouble, try out another holiday or two this month and let me know if it helps! :) We've had our tree up since just shortly after Halloween, so that's been fun and festive. And with some help from Paul's Ace Hardware's amazing deals, we just got our outside lights up this past weekend, so even more fun and festive. Paul's Ace Hardware is proud to be this year's sponsor for the Tempe Community Action Agency's Holiday Lights program. We are thrilled to be a part of lighting up and bringing some fun and festive holiday cheer to homebound Tempe residents. This Saturday, December 5th volunteers will disperse across Tempe to hang holiday lights on the homes of TCAA clients with physical challenges or are unable to hang them themselves. Then in January, volunteers will then return to remove and store the lights and decorations. This event starts at 8am at the Escalante Community Center 150 E. Orange St., Tempe, AZ 85281. Our employees are known for being creative and resourceful and that doesn't stop when it comes to in store or in office holiday decorating! Pictured here is our Corporate offices decorations, they did a fantastic job! We have challenged our associates in each of our 8 locations to a Holiday Decorating Contest and the judges are going to be YOU! They have until December 11th to get their coolest displays set and then the pictures will be posted on our Facebook pages. The picture with the most votes wins lunch for their store. Keep your eyes peeled for the coolest displays and get that like finger ready to click away at your favorite!
