November 18th is a good night to leave the cooking to Marco's! Let them know you are an SCCS family and Marco's will donate 15% of the sales from the night for phone orders and 20% of the online orders to SCCS. Proceeds for our November Marco's Pizza night will go to the Class of 2022. The classroom, Preschool through 5, that has the most orders will get a pizza party, so be sure to mention your teacher's name when ordering over the phone or click on your teacher’s name when ordering online.

CLASS OF 2025 FUNDRAISER AT RAISING CANE’S
The Class of 2025 is having a fundraising event at the new Raising Cane’s on Thursday, November 11th from 10am until 10pm. Make sure you mention the fundraiser when you go and see the flyer below for all the details.
APPLICATIONS FOR PEBT
If you are not receiving the PEBT benefit but feel you are eligible, please fill out a 2021/2022 application and return it to Shelley Veverka as soon as possible so you can be eligible for November. You can get the form by clicking on this link or from Mrs. Voltz at the reception desk inside the blue awning entrance off of our Decatur St. parking lot. VARSITY BASEBALL COACHING POSITION
Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic High School is currently accepting applications for the position of Head Varsity Baseball Coach beginning with the 2021-2022 season. Head coaching experience is preferred, but not required. Interested candidates should email a letter of interest and resume to Athletic Director Steve Ruthsatz at [email protected]. MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR POSITION OPEN
Sandusky Central Catholic is seeking motivated, well-qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Supervisor.
Duties include monitoring, upkeep, repair, and improvements to school facilities and grounds; supervision of custodial staff; safety coordination and project planning. 
The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical/mechanical, organizational, and communication skills necessary in a school setting. A high school diploma is required with additional training or experience in trades such as plumbing and electrical work. While not required, preference will be given to candidates possessing an Ohio boiler operator license.
Salary will be based on the training and related experience of the successful candidate. Benefits offered include Insurance (Health, Dental, Vision, and Life), Paid Time Off (Personal/Vacation/Sick), and participation in the Diocesan pension plan.

ALL SPORT PASSES
All Sports Passes are available for $100 and can be purchased at the main entrance on Decatur St. from 8:30am until 2:00pm on school days. All Sports Passes permit you admission to all SMCC home sporting events.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS NEEDED - NEW TEMPORARY LICENSE AVAILABLE
Due to the shortage of substitute teachers during the pandemic, the state of Ohio has established a new, temporary substitute license. You do not need a bachelor's degree to qualify, only a high school diploma. The license expires on June 30, 2022 and is non-renewable.

If you would like to join our Panther substitute team this year, please email a letter of interest with your education and employment history to Lois Walsh at [email protected]. We will then be in touch to explain the process of obtaining this temporary license.

MOVIE NIGHT AT HOLY ANGELS
The Catholic Parishes of Sandusky are hosting a Family Movie Night on Friday, November 12th in the Holy Angels Parish Hall. It will be a double feature of "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas." The doors will open at 6:30pm.

THANKSGIVING MEAL DONATION WITH VICTORY KITCHEN
Each year our students participate in a food drive to create Thanksgiving baskets for those in need in our community. This year we are partnering with Victory Kitchen, who will be providing the turkeys and will help to distribute our Thanksgiving baskets. If you or anyone you know is in need of assistance this Thanksgiving, please contact Brittany Sternberg ([email protected]) or Victory Kitchen (419) 627-8732.

CHANGE WARS FOR ERIE COUNTY CHILDREN SERVICES
Each year the Elementary (PK-5) participates in a classroom change war to raise money to sponsor Christmas for children connected with Erie County Children Services. The change war will run from Monday, November 29 through Friday, December 3. The classroom who collects the most money will win a Christmas movie and popcorn party the last week before Christmas break. Please only coins and no bills.

The fall sports awards ceremony will be held on Monday, November 8th at 6:30pm beginning in The Kinzel Center. After a brief gathering in The Kinzel Center all teams will break into individual groups for awards presentations.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SCHOLARSHIP FOR SCCS STUDENTS
The Knights of Columbus Ohio Charity Foundation, Inc. is offering their annual scholarship to students in grades 9-12. If awarded a scholarship, the money will be applied to their SCCS tuition for the 2021-2022 school year. To qualify, students must be a 9-12 grade student, practicing Catholic, have at least a 2.5 GPA, and have a financial need. Click here for an application.
