Class of 2022 Senior Dues
Senior Dues covers your graduation expenses (such as arena rental, arena security, parking, flowers, diplomas, GPA honor cords, and printing of tickets and programs), a Senior t-shirt, as well as Seniors-only activities. IMPORTANT NOTE: Graduation is currently scheduled at UNF Arena. Due to the size of your class and the seating at UNF, this limits your available tickets to 6 per graduating Senior. Mrs. Kunze is actively looking for a larger venue. If a larger venue is secured, additional graduation fees will be announced.
Senior dues must be paid in order to be eligible to purchase tickets for prom, keep your reserved spot for GradBash, attend graduation, and receive a printed diploma. Seniors who pay their dues after the deadline are not guaranteed a Senior t-shirt.

Class of 2022 Schoology Group
Our senior class has 777 members, yet only 319 Seniors have joined our Senior Schoology group. If you are Dual Enrollment, this is a GREAT way to stay connected! To Join, Seniors should navigate to Groups in their Schoology account and join the group using this code: NFBJ-8Q36-T5TM7

Class of 2022 Remind
Seniors and their parents can join the Class of 2022 Remind to stay up to date on senior class information. Please note that everyone joins through the join information below, but because of Remind limitations we may move you into a different section. When this happens you will get two notifications from Remind – 1 that you have been added to a new section and 2 a notification that you have been removed from the initial section. You do not need to rejoin! All sections get the same information! Please do not rejoin as that fills up the queue and prevents announcements from being delivered. If you would also like to be updated on Senior Class information by using Remind you can join the class of 2022 Remind by texting @8k4f3g9 to the number 81010

Good News!
Girls Varsity Volleyball is the #3 seed for Districts. Nease will host the first round on Monday, October 18th vs St Augustine.

Boys and Girls Swim teams swept Bartram at the October 12th meet.

Last Saturday was National Chess Day and MOSH hosted a huge chess tournament.
Representing Nease was
Adam Kings, Isaac Sun, and Abror Kurbanov

Abror was undefeated after five rounds and took FIRST PLACE OVER ALL. Amazing !!
The other two boys won enough matches that collectively, they brought home a second place trophy in the team division. A school from Gainesville brought +12 players and took first in the Team category. We are proud of this early success.

PARENT/ADULT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! PLEASE HELP US!
Our school library media center is the “heart” of our school and a HUGE part of our student life on campus. We would LOVE to have some of our parents help us out at our circulation desk in the mornings or after school. If you are willing and able to help us out, please click on the link below and sign up to become a part of our “library” family. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email me at carolyn.milian@stjohns.k12.fl.us . Thank you so much and let’s have an awesome year! You’re going to LOVE our space and all our incredible students!

EXCEL CHANGES IN MEDIA CENTER!
We are no longer handing out wristbands for students to be in here for both Excel sessions. We will ONLY hand out wristbands for either Excel A or Excel B but NOT both. This will go into effect on Wed., Oct. 27th but next Wednesday, Oct. 6th, the media center is ONLY open during Excel for our Hispanic Heritage Celebration. Too many students want to just hang out in the media center the entire time and it is causing too much traffic and chaos and crowd control issues. And as a reminder – we will NO LONGER hand out wristbands at the door. Students MUST pick up wristbands by 11 a.m. the latest if they want to come into the media center for Excel. We will still have Excel tutors available during this time if students need help. HOWEVER, they must secure an “Excel tutoring pass” from their teacher or from me in the media center before Excel time.
STUDENT LIFE!
La Fuerza is a Latinx/Hispanic Student Union striving to create a welcoming and inclusive community for students here at Nease. They will be taking part in community service projects, and social and cultural events throughout the year. If you are interested in joining or becoming an officer, see Mr. Espinosa in room E102 or visit @lafuerza.nhs on Instagram for more information!

Interested International Travel??
We are pleased to announce a opportunity opened to all of the Nease Family! In June of 2023 we will be heading abroad, taking a World War II themed trip. This trip covers 5 countries and closely follows the 101st Airborne Easy Company (Band of Brothers) trip through Europe. We will be visiting sites such as Churchill War Rooms, Normandy Beaches, Eifel Tower, Palace of Versailles, Bastogne (Battle of the Bule), Dachau Concentration Camp and many others. This trip is open for enrollment and we are halfway full already!!! Please email Mr. Kendrick at Jonathan.kendrick@stjohns.k12.fl.us for more information!
