ARAWC ANNUAL MEETING IN SEPTEMBER – ATTEND REMOTELY

All members and invited guests are encouraged to attend the 7th Annual Meeting of the Association for Responsible Alternatives to Workers’ Compensation (ARAWC) on September 30, 2020 from 1:30-3:30pm Central Time. 

Annual Meeting topics will include:
  • Can immediate injury reporting be required in 2021?
  • Nonsubscriber research agendas for TDI and ARAWC
  • Update on employer liability relief for COVID claims
  • Next steps on QCARE
  • Should work comp options advance in other states?
  • Excellence in Advocacy Award

This year’s meeting will be conducted online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please join us from the comfort of your office, wherever that may be!

ARAWC is dedicated to representing and advocating for responsible, competitive alternatives to traditional workers’ compensation.
LIABILITY PROTECTIONS CONCERNING COVID-19

ARAWC continues to actively monitor COVID-19 developments as it relates to employers with Texas injury benefit plans. U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) recently proposed the SAFE TO WORK Act which includes numerous liability protections concerning COVID-19. ARAWC quickly identified an issue in the bill’s language that could negatively impact Texas injury benefit programs and quickly….

QCARE TRADEMARK REGISTERED

The QCARE trademark was officially registered by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on August 11, 2020. Efforts to protect intellectual property rights associated with QCARE were originally started in the summer of 2018; obtaining the official registration is a milestone for ARAWC and for Texas injury benefit programs!
