The architecture class built a timber frame stable for Christmas in the Courtyard this year. The structure was designed to mimic a structure built with no hardware, just as it may have been built when Jesus was born. Special kudos to juniors Ryan Destefanis and Joey Harrington for taking the lead on this project.

Last Friday the SFD Run the Race club hosted several young "racers" from the inner city of Columbus at the DeSales Boys Basketball game vs Johnstown. The racers enjoyed some basketball, camaraderie, activities, and refreshments while they were on campus.

Thank you to all who assisted with our annual Canned Food drive to benefit the Saint James the Less Food Pantry and the Saint Stephen's Community House. We surpassed our school goal, tallying 22,402 points (points are given for non-perishable goods turned in), and raised $2,784 in cash donations. Special shout out to Theology teacher Mrs. Madeline Brobst for holding a personal fundraiser this past weekend, raising $1,138 for this drive!
Students from the National Honor Society Red Team, plus the winners of the Canstruction competition and the top 15 student can contributors delivered the donations today.

Francis Celebrates His Favorite Saint
Francis the Elf had a little fun with our students while they enjoyed our annual Saint Nicholas Day ice cream treats yesterday. A special thanks to members of our Parent Advisory Board for serving ice cream to all our appreciative students! Check out more photos of our students enjoying this annual treat on our school's Facebook page.

This is a perfect time of year to emulate what Saint Nicholas is known for most -- generosity and kindness -- by joining the efforts of our Holiday Annual Giving.

Like a shepherd, O Lord our God, you care for the blessed members of your flock. Indeed, you give comfort and tenderness to all who feel lost and forgotten. So the midst of these Advent days, we search afar for the coming of Christ, herald of glad tidings. May this day, this moment of time, be a foreshadowing of the kingdom that Jesus promised but which is still to come in your good time. This we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.
