It is hard to believe we have completed a month and a half of school already! We have had a great start and just wanted to share a couple reminders about parent drop off for the start of the year:
Please make sure at parent drop off you are pulling forward as students are exiting the car
If you need to have a conversation with a staff member at parent drop off, please park your car and walk your child across the crosswalk so that we don't hold up traffic
We are excited that we have our Fall conferences in the coming weeks, this partnership and communication is a critical part of students success. During conferences we will also be hosting virtual referendum presentations to make sure we can share information and answer any questions you have. Below is the schedule and links for the upcoming dates:
If you are unable to make any of those times and have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out with questions or review information at our

Orders done online should've been shipped to the child's home. If you ordered by paying with check/cash on picture day they are still in the process of being completed and shipped to the school.
If you have not seen you child's picture, you can look at parent portal to view your child's new picture or call Lifetouch Customer Care at 1-800-736-4753 to see about getting and code to view.
Our school will be celebrating Unity Day on October 20th. This day focuses on our school community coming together to celebrate kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. We are encouraging our students to wear the color orange.
Do you have a plan to vote on or before Nov. 2?
There is one question on the 2021 Referendum Ballot to address the district's critical need for operating revenue. The 10-year Operating Levy would provide an increase in operating revenue of $550 per pupil, which equates to approximately $5.2 million of additional revenue in the first year. The estimated tax impact on the average homeowner would be about $20/month, based on an average home value of $375,000. Learn more about the district’s need for this funding and what’s at stake if the Nov. 2 referendum is not approved at www.ECCSvote.org.

NEW TO THE LIBRARY -
Dear families:
I am so excited to be in my new position as Innovation and Information Learning Specialist here in the BCE Media Center. My biggest goal for children this year is for them to fall in love with reading and be excited about books. My second main goal is to inspire creativity through STEM in the Maker Space.
Thank you for your patience as parents and district buses safely transport students to and from school and all year long.
The district now manages its own bus fleet. Call the Transportation Department at 952-556-6160 for things like: daily riding pattern changes, concerns about bus safety, lost and found items, or if our child’s bus is more than 10 minutes.
Families who use district transportation can use the MyStop app to track the progress of their student's bus.
Transportation Notices and Changes- If you plan to make a last minute transportation change during the school day- please contact the office at 952-556-6600. DO NOT call or e-mail the classroom teacher. Teachers are working with students and are unable to check their e-mail.
ECCS School Visitor Policy
We look forward to welcoming parents, families and visitors back into our schools. As we begin the 2021-22 academic year, however, we must prioritize the health of students and staff, and minimize the potential for contract tracing. The following protocols will be used until further notice:Visitor Check-in.
Student ID Lanyards
All students will continue to wear student id lanyards. New IDs will be printed for all kindergarten and new students. Students will use their id cards throughout the school day to board school bus, access student meal accounts, and to check out library books.Read More Here
School meals offered free for 21-22 school year
Thanks to an extension in federal funding, breakfast and lunch will be offered free to ALL students during the 21-22 school year.
We take seriously our responsibility to do everything we can to make sure our students and staff are in a safe and healthy environment. The ECCS safe learning plan regarding face coverings has recently been updated. Starting on the first day of school, September 7th, masking will be required indoors for students age 2-12 years old. The mask requirement will be in place through October 1, at which point families will be updated on whether an extension is necessary.
District leaders continue to remain in close contact with state and local health officials to monitor data and adjust learning models as needed. Please bookmark Safe Learning Plan for the latest information.
Please complete only if your child is a new student, kindergartner, or if there are updates/changes/new medical condition or medication changes - Student Health Form
