Annual Holiday Steering Committee Celebration
We recently gathered together for our 1st in person Stepping Up Steering Committee meeting at the JP Carr Community in Conyers, GA. It was such an incredible experience to mix and mingle with all of our community partners. Again we thank each of you that are contributing to the initiative!
Recovery On The Inside
The Rockdale Stepping Up Initiative Team, Rockdale Sheriff's Office and the Recovery Community have implemented Recovery Support Groups for inmates in the Rockdale Criminal Justice System. In this video you will hear from a few of the group participants and the impact that it is making on their lives.

Rockdale County Holiday Celebration and Graduation!
On Thursday, Dec 2nd the Accountability Courts held a holiday celebration for the graduation of 9 the DUI and Drug court participants. We would like to recognize and congratulate them on this huge accomplishment!
The Newton & Rockdale Suicide Prevention Coalition event was on November 13th at the Church of Covington. Everyone enjoyed live music, motivational testimonies, food and fellowship. For more information about the Coalition and other events coming in the future visit their Facebook page.
November's NAMI Recognition & Appreciation Night was held at Conyers First United Methodist Church and was a huge success. Rockdale County Judges and Commissioner Doreen Williams received awards for their ongoing MENTAL HEALTH support and partnership in the Rockdale Newton County Communities.

As we continue to intentionally grow in our recovery we invite you to our daily Recovery Oriented zoom meetings in hopes that our recovery community will also grow in numbers. We know that it is our duty to carry the recovery message to those that still suffer. Patricia's Story
Patricia has been selected as the Champion of Recovery for the month of November because of her hard work and commitment to her recovery journey. Recovery is not an easy thing nor does it happen overnight. Patricia has learned to importance of recovery in her life and seen how it has effected those around her. She would like to be the light of hope for someone and the inspiration to keep coming back1
