DISTRICT NEWS
It was a perfect day on the golf course on Monday. 36 teams of 4 joined us for the 2nd Annual Benefit Golf Tournament hosted by Wilson Equipment/Bobcat of Medford. We had 19 student volunteers help with on-course games and selling raffle and 50/50 tickets - bringing in thousands of dollars. The final tally isn't quite ready to announce, but we are excited to be able to add funds raised to the middle school recreation area expansion project. A HUGE THANK YOU to Wilson Equipment and all of our sponsors for their contributions and support of our schools.
Thank you to our primary sponsors
Wanted: Host Families
Grace Cascade Christian Schools International Student Program is seeking ministers to become host families who will open their homes to students from around the globe. You will be able to learn about a culture different from your own, while providing the experience for another to learn about our culture.

By opening your hearts and home, you will impact the life of another for a lifetime, or possibly an eternity.

If you would like more information on how you can be a host family, please contact our International Student Coordinator:

"He said unto them, 'Go you into the entire world, and preach the gospel to every creation.'" Mark 16:15. You can go into all the world through the heart of a student who has experienced your hospitality.

Mission Possible: 2nd-5th Spring Program
Our second through fifth graders put their musical and acting talents on display with Misson: Possible, a fun musical bringing home the point that no matter who we are, we've been give a mission to share God's love.

Our hats off to all the singers, actors and choir, and for all the adults who helped make it a success: Mr. Teterud, Mrs. Fretz, Mr. Roehl, Mrs. Hogan, Mr. Rivas, and Mr. Noble.
Wildlife Images- 3rd Grade Field Trip
Mrs. Todd, Mrs. Brougher and their third grade classes enjoyed some time outdoors Friday with a special field trip to Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and Education center in Grants Pass. What kid doesn't like animals, and a little time away from the classroom?

Wildlife Images began in 1981, and for over 40 years have provided care for injured, sick and orphaned animals. Over the years, they've provided care for everything from squirrels to badgers and even an American Bald Eagle.

Middle School News
Family Night
Cascade Christian Middle School families had a wonderful opportunity Tuesday to catch up with teachers and see up close what their students have been learning. Family Night was a great success, and we're so glad to see so many come out.
Studying Lungs In Science
While going through a unit on the respiratory system, Mr. Jared Holden had students do a study on lung capacity. Get some balloons, and some measuring tape, and you're good to go!

New Honor Society Members
Congratulations to Rose Hehn, Cambria Vernoy, Katherine Harvey, and Wyatt Rainey (pictured below, left to right)- they are the newest members of the National Honor Society from Cascade Christian. The NHS recognizes outstanding high school students for character, leadership, scholarship, and service.

These four join 44 other past and present CCHS students to have been so honored. This is a well-earned honor, and we're proud of you!
Senior Lunch
Our graduating class of 2022 has had a high school experience unlike any other, in often very challenging circumstances. We're grateful for the Lord's hand upon each one of these young men and women, and pray that one day, they will be able to take from their time at Cascade Christian valuable experiences and fond memories of their time here.

Wednesday, we honored our seniors with a special catered lunch- complete with BBQ chicken and steamed vegetables. It's our way of honoring them and letting our seniors know how much they mean to us.

A special thanks to Kristin Eaton for coordinating all the details, and to for catering the lunch.

Congratulations, Cascade Christian Class of 2022! We're so proud of you.
Small Group Celebration
With a number of special chapels around the corner, our girls small groups met for the final time Thursday. A couple of the staff leaders- Kayla Crenshaw and Hannah Bryant- offered a peek inside their final gathering. After studying Proverbs 4:23, they celebrated their final time together with snacks and board games.
A special shout out to Owen Harrington from the Cascade Christian Class of 2021! He has recently graduated from Coast Guard boot Cape May, NJ after 8 weeks of training.

Harrington, the son of Skylar and Elyse Harrington (GCS Pre-K teacher), is headed to Texas for his first station assignment and is wanting to move into Maritime Enforcement.

Owen graduated from CCHS last year, after attending GCS/CCMS/CCHS since Kindergarten. Our prayers are with you Owen and thank you for your service!

SPORTS UPDATE

TRACK & FIELD

Sierra Samhammer won the 300 meter hurdles, Autumn Murray won the long jump, and the 4x100 team took first place as the Cascade Christian Challengers won the district track meet. The Challengers scored 117 points, followed by Sutherlin at 111, and Pleasant Hill finished third at 104 points. Head coach Mike Schaan won District Girls Coach of the Year.
Samhammer (long jump, 100 and 300 meter hurdles, 4x100 relay), Murray (long jump, 100 and 300 meter hurdles, 4x100 relay), Allison Cramer (4x400 relay), Katie Erno (4x400 relay), Saige Griffin (800, 3,000), Jerushah Purrier (4x100 & 4x400 relays) and Ellie Vanlandingham (4x100 & 4x400 relays) are all competing at state.

On the boys side, Jake Sorani won the 800 and 1500, and Matt Moses finished second in the shot put. Both qualified for state.

BASEBALL

The league-clinching celebration will have to wait. Douglas capitalized on a Cascade Christian throwing error in extra innings as the Trojans prevailed 3-2 Tuesday.

Generating hits proved challenging for CCHS, who manufactured runs on a pair of bases-loaded walks. Walks to Liam Benade and Jack Knips brought home runs, after bases on balls to Ashton Moody and Cole Shields loaded up the paths.

Owen Thompson scattered two hits, while walking seven and striking out 10.

SOFTBALL

In her final home appearance of the season, senior Ashlyn Ehrlich hit a two-run single for Cascade Christian against Douglas. Three Challenger seniors were honored for their contributions to Cascade Christian softball: Callie Sweem, Kayla Coble, and Ehrlich.

Ehrlich scored a run. Bella Williams drove in a pair of runs. Josie Scaglione went 3 for 3 at the plate, driving in a pair of runs, and scoring one as well.
Our hats off to Callie, Kayla and Ashlyn. Sweem took on the pitcher’s role with virtually no high school experience, and demonstrated that gritty toughness that we have also seen on the volleyball and basketball courts. After not playing for a couple of seasons, Ehrlich jumped right in a made a number of fine offensive contributions. Coble also came in and joined in with sister Kori- a freshman- and made some nice contributions with the bat as well.
